ImplementationSurprisesStudents were very eager to work on this projectStudents told me that a videocast would be much more effective than only an audio podcast

Bumps in the roadStudents struggled to tell relevant information about a lessonTheir thoughts were disorganizedThe needed more guidance to help them reflect on their learning.DelightsI was delighted to hear positive feedback from my teachers that this was a relevant problem and that they were excited to see if my solution with podcasts was feasible.

Findings 2 indicators of successful implementationMultiple teachers agreed that my problem was real concern. A solution to this problem would significantly increase student learningStudents participating in the project were motivated to create a videocast to help out their fellow students.

Implications3 recommendations for future work on this project

At the beginning of the project, students need to be view/listen to a podcast or videocastso that they are aware of what final project expectations areStudents should be given graphic organizers to help arrange their thoughts about a lesson into a practical formatTeachers should do whole group instruction on how to constructively reflect on their learning. Students need to develop cognitive awareness before they can begin work on this project.
