I) Foreword
- State the instructor (i.e. your name because you are the author)
- Objective
What is an objective?
- Level of students
- Length of lesson
- Materials or aids

II) Introduction
- Have some introduction of yourself as well as a way to get the kids to introduce themselves
- Have an attention getter
- State the goal/objective of the lesson and the importance

III) Body of the lesson
- Dependent upon whether the format is mounted or unmounted
- Break this portion down into a minimum of three parts
- Write a short paragraph to summarize the main portion of the lesson

IV) Conclusion
- Do a quick summary emphasizing the goal/objective of the lesson
- Ask for any questions
- Thank your students
A Few Suggestions• Make the lesson as interactive as possible
– Most people learn well when they are involved• Make the lesson fun but safe
– Which are more memorable lessons: the ones where you fell asleep out of boredom or the one that you had a ton of fun?
• Be creative!!– Aside from being appropriate & safe, there
are hardly any “rules” that need to be followed when writing up a lesson plan
