You ever hear something that just seems too good to be true. You have been taken one too many times and you are going to see it to believe it. Well, that is not a bad thing. In fact, Paul is commending the people for just that. They were eager, but they were not blind.

#2. So, we can KNOW what we believe.

Like the Bereans we can be of noble character and EXAMINE the scriptures every day.

Then we will KNOW WHAT WE BELIEVE, WHO WE BELIEVE IN and WHO BELIEVES IN US.

It is not enough to get in the Word, THE WORD MUST GET IN US!

In Romans 10:17 it says “Consequently, faith comes

from hearing the message, and the message is heard through

the word of Christ.” (NIV) So, when we pray God’s Word,

our faith in Him is strengthened.

How does that happen? Reading the Word and praying are great, but how about putting the two together?

Praying the Word of God is Praying in agreement with God’s Word.

Let’s try…”Father, Your Word says that faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ. Help me not to only listen when it is read to me, but to

speak out and hear Your Word from my voice. Help me to believe that the

hearing of Your Word will strengthen my faith in You. AMEN!”
