Ka Makana Ali‘i – The Center for West O‘ahu – is the first regional shopping mall to be built in Hawaii in more than 30 years. The 1.4 million-square-foot mixed-use center is located in the heart of the fastest growing region in the state, with a historical annual growth rate of 5.8%. The thriving community is home to University of Hawai’i’s new West Oahu campus with approximately 2,700 students today (7,600 at full enrollment), the $133M Kroc Center, the first phase of Honolulu’s $5.2B rail transit project and more than 22,000 additional housing units projected over the next 20 years.
The retail environment around Ka Makana Ali‘i is dynamic, reflecting an expanding market with significant, pent-up demand. Many retail and restaurant categories are underserved resulting in rapid absorption of new shopping center development and strong sales performance.
