It sounds like people are just trying to get something for free from Invicta.

So you're saying that without pictures of bigfoot, Live Elvis, The abominable snowman, ufos,
or the Loch Ness Monster that they don't exist? It's up to you to decide if the complaint is
legitimate and want to participate in the discussion.

1. There not techno savy
2. It's a conspiracy of one
3. they don't feel like taking a picture
4. there deep undercover trolls who's only mission is
to denigrate Invicta and start a fight
5. They simply feel that explaining the issue has
more merit than providing empirical evidence
Welcome to watchgeeks
a part from that who knows

Pictures are not required to post a complaint or a gripe nor does lack of a picture or failure
to post one mean that the complaint is unfounded or invalid. Either believe the complainant
or not and reply or not as you see fit. Capisce?

Unless your a prosecutor presenting evidence for trial..pics are
not needed...In time your number of posts will lend creedence
to the validity of your arguements..a part from that you'll find
the geeks here to be fair in their judgments and you may be
able to make a few friends along the way..

I actually have seen pics posted of the problem expressed, though rare. Never thought the
"complaint" was an invalid one though! Actually, many WGs back up the problem with the
same watch they own, or similar movement, with same problem, etc. Uploading pics is time
consuming and rarely would add to finding a solution! IMO!

Good question.
Sounds like the perfect job for this guy:
"Did you ever wonder....."
btw, it took me about 20 seconds to find the photo of Mr. Grumpy, upload it & then post it
here.
So once you become familiar it's pretty straight forward. And, most geeks are happy to help
those who need assistance.

How do you post pictures of your own watches on here?
Do you have to use something like photo bucket?
Thanks for the advice in advance......

1. Upload them to a 3rd party picture hosting site such as photobucket or
imageshack, or one of the many other sites you can choose from.
2. Copy the link formated with [IMG] tags.
3. Paste the link or links into new thread or comment box. 4. Submit the thread or comment and you're done.

You used the word NEVER. I've seen many posts here with supporting pictures of a problem.

Posting pictures is not complicated at all ,as a matter of fact it is very simple . Photo Bucket is FREE and when you take the pictures from your camera you have to download them to your computer anyway so just put them on photo bucket. After they are there each pic comes with 4 links you choose the bottom one that starts with IMG and post that link in the thread .This is DIFFICULT !!!! . Telling others it is complicated when it is basically a 3 step process is not a fair assessment
at all. __________________

I agree! Without photographic evidence, they MUST be lying about it, because everyone
knows that an Invicta will NEVER arrive defective or EVER break shortly after arriving!

I agree with both opinions. All of this gets very boring. There's a difference between
discussing and whining.

"NEVER" is simply not true. Many watchgeeks supply very detailed photos of issues when
needed but then again some issues are self explanatory. Any watchgeek that has been
around a while shouldn't have to provide photos to claim legitimacy of a problem.

I was just BSing when I started a thread looking for advice if I did something wrong when
the rotor on my SAS Reserve Valjoux 7750 spun like an outboard on steroids and the stem
detached from the watch and I have just sent it back to CS for the third time.. People are so

Do you really need pictures and further evidence of Invictas poor QC? Personally I do not.

Why post a complaint to begin with? Why not just make a decision to either get it fixed,
throw it in the trash or send it back?
Most people like to complain, Biatch, or snivel about how their whole life is turned upside
down because of a problem with a watch. It is a joke actually and I find it amusing that a
grown man has to come to a watch forum and complain about a simple situation...but then
again I shouldnt be surprised.

A traditional function of shared interest forums relating to watches or otherwise is to alert
the members to the pluses and minuses of the "things" that unit them. Discussions
surrounding quality, performance and defects are not only fair game, they're expected. How
they're expressed and responded to is a wholly different matter.

All I can respond to your response is "If whining is part of ones game, then whine", I still
find it to be a JOKE!!! If I cried every time something went wrong in my life then I would
sure not have much time for anything else. So to those who like to express their displeasure
then by all means there are plenty of shoulders here to cry on!

If you enjoy telling other folks to "Butch up", then why are you still whining about someone
posting a complaint about a watch on a watch forum? Follow your own advice and just suck
it up.

Gee, let me see here. If I buy an automatic, and find that it loses 5 minutes every hour, how
do I photograph that? I know, just show two pictures, one at 2 PM and one at 3 PM showing
the........, naw, that won't work either. unless I post two more pictures of a 2nd watch that
keep perfect time, next to the one........., naw, that won't either. Maybe if I................... see
the problem?

good to say DON'T SAY ANYTHING.i can understand once in a while getting something off
your chest or telling about a problem or to alert other to an Issue .I also understand
budgeting comes in play more these days .I'd like to hear good thing ,I also look at how
many post some have I just don't reply I don't want to stoke the FLAME. have a nice Day ,

If its done the right way its not whining at all. What should we do let the next guy get a f-
ked up watch because someone doesnt want to hear about their problem then it happens to
them. That is the purpose of a watch forum to discuss the good and the bad not to hide the
problems under a rug and put our pom poms on and cheer every watch.Who is anyone to
judge what is whining and what is a legit problem?

Got it! That means that when a geek needs to post a thread with a WATCH problem he
should go post on the AMATEUR GARDENING FORUM... just because the OP doesn't like
reading them!!! BTW my camera doesn't work, need any pictures??

Misery loves company.
I have seen lots of posts on WGs from sports fans that are frustrated with their teams
performance. They pretty much tear the team apart.
When we feel let down we want others to join us in beating up the target.
Like Brad said, why have a forum of people going rah!! rah !! only ? Constructive honest
critiques make everything better. I am sure Michael and Eyal actually appreciate it when it is
honest and thought out, it helps them make a better product.

I had come to the same conclusion Hotspur did concerning RipitRon's postings. RipitRon also
injected negativity into a perfectly nice thread I had started the other day (link below). I
guess some guys are just bound to stirring the pot.

You dont post a picture, you send it in for repair, you throw it in the trash or you send it
back. Pretty simple dont you think? I received two brand new watches last year thatone was
off by 5 minutes a day and another that would stop for no reason. I didnt come on here and
complain, whine or just inform the GREAT members of this forum LOL. Why well first of all it
wasnt a ongoing problem it was a isolated instance, and both of those companies fixed the
watches and they run smooth as silk.
I didnt go to the Breitling forum and snivel about my $5000 watch having a problem either
or my Omega Seamaster bracelet prloblem. I handled my business and moved on, Like I
said I dont need a shoulder to cry on when things dont go my way,
If there is a ongoing problem like poor plating, Hands falling off things of this nature and i
run into will I express my situation........SURE I WILL, but I dont feel any clear headed
person should complain about every situation that comes up.

Show us the problem or stop complaining.
You know, I figure its a thing called being human... humans are either nice, thoughtless, mean, happy,
forgetful, silly, over achievers, under achievers, radical, wimpy, goofy, whiny, crazy, psychotic,
procrastinating, normal (how boring) or maybe even supercilious... whoops, I almost forgot the best
one... lazy.
But that is my best guess as to your post's original query...

I understand the sentiments of the OP. There have been times, especially a first poster when
a picture would more convince me.
That said, it is a pain to post pictures here. The only way to reliably do it that I know of is to
post a link to somewhere you have uploaded the pic. Not everyone has pics uploaded
anywhere. Even then you have to know how to correctly link to them.
Add to that, If you post from your alblum, the picture does not always show up. so I have
given up doing that.
I think there is one other consideration. Any product will have a given problem from time to
time, some defect. If it is actually a problem overall, more than one person will post about it.
