Toyota has deep ties with Microsoft – core infrastructure, app/platform development, joint ventures, etc.
I would approach them with the idea that Colleagues would replace Lync – instead it would be used to solve the contact manager problem. A discussion on how easily Colleagues integrates with LDAP and has an intuitive UX to drive adoption is sure to turn heads.
In my experience, most companies with these giant monolithic Microsoft stacks, only use/need a few applications – the rest are accepted cause they’re cheap/free, but are poorly designed and rarely used (i.e., SharePoint). If we can position Colleagues as a Microsoft-friendly mobile app that people will actually use, I think we have the best chance of moving forward.
