Why•At First Mexico wanted in Texas.•Then Mexico stop allowing people in to Texas. •There were some early clashes between Mexican Army and Texan Colonists.•Taxes were placed on new incoming settler•Slavery was outlawed•Mexico did not protect freedom of religion and required a tithe to the church.

The Alamo •the Alamo was a mission that the Texans converted into a fort•Siege lasted 13 days •The Alamo was attacked once by each side •Casualties o f the battle:Mexican : 400-600 killed or woundedTexans: 185- 258•At the battle Davy Crockett and William Travis were killed
