Revision Strategies
We want you to try and push your revision into the ACTIVE zone.
Try out some of these techniques before your mocks and see if they help you!
be independent – prepare for yourself.
How to reach the top
Just a minute
The best way to remember something is to teach it
yourself.
Revise a topic and then find a volunteer.
Give yourself a minute and try and teach someone the key points about the topic.
You might want to create some resources to help with your explanation.
Play-doh
Get yourself a pot of play-doh.
Use it to create models of concepts or topics you have covered.
You could use it to represent a character
or an important individual.
Mind-maps
These can be a really useful way to learn.
Make them big, make them bold. A3 size works well.
Use colours, pictures, words.
A good idea is to get an exam buddy. Revise a topic together and then produce a giant mind-map between you.
One Simple Word
EXTRA
Turns ordinary into
EXTRA-ORDINARY
How many times did he fall off?
He was not afraid of failing
• He was committed
• He was organised
• He understood what he needed to do to improve
• No fear of failure
• He learnt from his mistakes and got better – Love your mistakes!
Without these habits his journey would have been a lot shorter.
