Why a Dipole?
• Driven element from a MA5B Yagi• Steerable (Armstrong method)• Low angle of radiation• 3 bands 10/15/20 plus low SWR• Robust• Small footprint in my tiny garden!

ARRL DXCC (DX Century Club)
• 100 QSLs required for the basic award• Currently 340 DXCC entities (331reqd. for ‘Honour Roll’)• No /MM allowed• Online logging and verification system using LoTW• QSL cards verified by ‘Field Checkers’• All amateur bands allowed (but no repeater QSOs!)

Tools for working stations
• CW very effective• Use of grey-line• Contests• Openings on the higher bands• Dxpeditions (usually working splits)

QSLing
• Find station on QRZ.com• Establish QSL manager or station address• Send 2$ plus SAE• OQRS option• Don’t bother with the QSL Bureau!
• No EQSL ✗• LoTW allowed ✓
