Aircraft Leasing Industry
• Aircraft leasing is the renting of commercial aircraft to airlines
• Approx. 40% of all aircraft are leased by airlines(8,000+ commercial passenger jets worldwide!)
• Aircraft are owned by leasing companies
• Airlines pay monthly rent on leased aircraft
• Airlines have no economic ownership of leased aircraft
• Airlines return aircraft to leasing companies at lease expiry. The leasing company then finds another airline customer to lease the aircraft.

• Airlines often prefer leasing their planes because it provides:

2003 Re-branded as RBS Aviation Capital. Company commits to purchase its 100th aircraft
2005 Company positions for up-cycle and places first direct order with Airbus and Boeing for 50 aircraft for delivery from 2006 - 2009
2006 Company takes delivery of 200th aircraft. New offices opened in Toulouse and Seattle
