CLUES :
ShaoShin broke into a building and took something that starts with “J”
Steven felt afraid to steal from the National Bank.
The person who stole from The Museum has a name that starts with “C”.
John Smith, Bruno, and ShaoShin were the three most wanted criminals,
but none of them robbed the bank or sneaked into The Art Gallery.
Bruno did not steal from the Governor’s house.
Encourage the students to solve the case by telling the background story.
Ask the students to read the instruction and the clues carefully. Remind them that
there can be only one ‘YES’ in each column and row.
The Teacher can give an example by using the first clue.

Let the students do the rest of the exercise.
ANSWER KEY:
1. John Smith stole bars of gold from the Governor’s house.
2. Bruno is a famous smuggler. He attacked the military base and took some lethal weapons for his arms smuggling.
3. Lady Cat robbed the bank with her crew. Millions of dollars went into her pocket.
4. ShaoShin broke into the jewellery store and stole some luxurious jewellery.
5. Chad took the famous Egyptian Statue from the Historical Museum.
6. Steven took a famous painting for his collection.
P.S: the students must write the answers in past simple tense. It doesn’t matter if the sentences are different. What
matters is that the person is matched with the correct crime.
Last night was a very peaceful night. Unfortunately,
there were five big crimes that happened in the city. Be the
Detective and find out who did each crime.
