What is God in Islam you ask? The Quran states in chapter 2:136

“Say you all: "We believe in Allah (God), and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ishmael,

Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their

Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And to God we surrender our will in

Islam.“

In Genesis 33:20 “There he set up an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.” God is called El Elohe.

In “Marriam-Webster “ Elohim - Gen 1:1 Hebrew word God is Elohim.

Elohim is a Hebrew word which expresses concepts of divinity. It is related to the Hebrew word ēl, though morphologically it consists of the Hebrew word Eloah

with a plural suffix.
