Who are we?

the stitchery collective is an artist-run initiative based in Brisbane. We use creative design practice to connect individuals and communities. Although our individual design practices are diverse, we are united through our commitment to a critical and ethical engagement with fashion amid broader social issues.

What do we do?

the stitchery collective has grown out of a community of QUT Creative Industries Graduates. Our individual areas of expertise include innovative fashion design , fashion curating, and ethical fashion practice. Collectively we design and facilitate community engagement programs including design and sewing workshops, clothing swaps and public education programs. Aside from our creative practice we are also committed to promoting our work through scholarly channels including conferences and academic publications.
