Who are we?
• Bildung und Integration e.V.: Education and Integration
• Non profit organisation• Founded in 1994• Operating jointly with EBA Europäische
Bildungsakademie• Currently 5 fulltime and 5 part-time staff, 2
volunteer
Mission
• Supporting professional and social integration of jobseekers through training and employment measures and counseling services.
• Supporting the goal of preparing young people (migrant) to the requirements of the information society through Youth projects and IT working groups
• Integration of migrants through language courses
Target groups
• Migrants from Eastern Europe / Turkey / Africa, Asia and Latin America
• All kinds of Job Seekers from different backgrounds
• Youth and children

Professional Training
• Target Group: Longterm Unemployed / 80% Migrant Background
• Professional Training Courses financed by the German Employment Agency for long-term unemployed including:– Business English– Accountability– Geriatric Care – Building Cleaning – Safety Specialist
Motivation for professional Training- Getting basic professional skills and competencies- Getting a practical experience and therefore a chance
to be taken over by an employer- Access to information about demands of Labour
Market- Getting a certificate to prove the development of
their skills - New strategy: offering vocational learning
experiences through Leonardo PLM mobilities in UK and Spain to motivate learners and improve international key competences
Integration
• Integration Courses-financed by Federal Agency for Migration and Refugees (BAMF):– Literacy Courses – Language course for Migrants / level B1 and B2
How do we motivate our learners• Laying out information in Employment Oficce (if unemployed they can get course financed)• Advertisement• Distributing Letters to neigborhoods around our
centres• Mouth by Mouth• Motivation to learn the German Language and to
have a better chance to integrate in German Society
Who are our learners?
• 70% Migrants• 60% Female / 40% Male• Age from 18 – 65 (main group: 30-50)• Current employment status: 100% unemployed • Socio economic background: on employment
benefits 90% / 10% self payers• Level of education: Leaving Certificate 80% /
Training Certificate 15% / Diploma 5% / Third level degree 5% / Post graduates: 2%

• TARGET GROUP:– Parents and children from disadvantaged
background (specially long term unemployees) and migrants (70%)

• OBJECTIVES:– Teaching about healthy diet – Preventing obesity and other diseases related to an
unhealthy diet– Teaching competencies in the fields of media
relations and consulting

• RESULTS: • Acquired knowledge in the field of healthy nutrition
and consulting• Participants learned to take independent actions in
the field of cooking• Strengtened self-esteem of participants• Improved chances of integration into the labor
market
Main partners and supporters
EBA cooperates closely with a wide variety of different actors and networks and receives financial support by state-funded program schemes (i.e. under the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, the Federal Jobs Employment Agency, the European Social Fund (in cooperation with the Federal State of Berlin). The quality of all activities is ensured by a quality management system which is certified under the DEKRA QM pur and AZWV / ISO 9001:2008 standards.
