Philip V of Spain

Philip V (also known as Duke of Anjou) was King of Spain from 1700 to 1746. He abdicated in favour of his son Louis I in 1724, who died one year later.

Predecessor: Charles II

Successor: Ferdinand VI

Spouses: Maria Luisa of Savoy and Elisabeth Farnese

He fought in the War of the Spanish Succession against the Grand Alliance of Archduke

By the Treaty of Utrecht Spain lost differents territories: Gibraltar, Menorca, Naples or Flandes.
