turbines
• 2008 installations brought cumulative installed capacity in US to 25,170 MW– US now world leader in wind power installed capacity
• 8,300 MW installed in 2008– Accounts for 42% of new capacity installations
• 4,000 MW installed in 1st half of 2009• Credit crunch hit wind industry too

• Youth Outreach to Help Create a Workforce Pipeline for Oklahoma’s Green Economy
• Governor’s Council for Workforce & Economic Development outreach program to recruit 12 to 18 year olds into the field of engineering; video detailing the opportunities for this age group will be released later this year.
