    1.1 OptiX RTN 600

    1.1.1 OptiX RTN 600 V100R001

    The OptiX RTN 600 V100R001 includes the OptiX RTN 610 V100R001, OptiX RTN 620 V100R001, and OptiX RTN 605 V100R001. The OptiX RTN 610 V100R001 and OptiX RTN 620 V100R001 support four synchronization modes:

    Synchronization with clock information contained in TDM E1 service signals Synchronization with clock information contained in SDH service signals Synchronization with external clock sources Synchronization with clock information from the air interface

    The OptiX RTN 605 V100R001 is PDH radio equipment, which supports only transparent transmission of the TDM E1 clock and does not support the retiming function.

    This external clock port is the external clock and wayside E1 multiplexing port, which supports the 2 Mbit/s or 2 MHz mode. It adopts a 75-ohm SMB co-axial connector.

    In the case of a base station where no external clock port is available, the external clock port on the OptiX RTN 620 V100R001 outputs the 2 Mbit/s clock signal that is directly interconnected with an E1 port on the base station. Therefore, clock transmission is implemented only if the base station meets corresponding requirements. The OptiX RTN 620 V100R001 supports a maximum of two PXC boards. That is, The OptiX RTN 620 V100R001 outputs a maximum of two external clock signals.

    As shown in the preceding diagrams of front panels, green ports indicate that the ports support the

    clock synchronization function. When a radio network consists of OptiX RTN 610 V100R001 NEs and OptiX RTN 620 V100R001

    NEs and has not more than 10 hops, the BITS clock or a clock of quality equivalent to the BITS clock meets the requirements for clock quality after transmitted over the radio network to a base station.
