Property Manager Report It's getting exciting watching the park come to life.

I haven't been doing Rain Dancing and I wish I

could do Sun Dancing to get out of this rainy

weather, but it doesn't seem to stop. It is supposed

to rain all next week.

I am gaining momentum getting acclimated to the

responsibilities of the job of Property Manager.

This past month was a little hectic trying to get

everything completed for the opening of the park

for the season.

We have installed 2 new hot water heaters, one in

BH #1 and one in the Club House. Both bathhouses

are now open and the roof on bathhouse #2 is

completed. The marina is open for the boating and

fishing season. There are a few minor touch ups to

PRESIDENTS CORNER

I am writing this article to you from Cancun, wish

you could be here.

The park is on a roll this month, getting ready for

the season.

The camera system is underway and should be

completed by months end.

We are looking forward to the Memorial Day

Picnic. I hope you will be able to attend. We are

planning on having some games for the kids and

adults too, if they want. Good food and good fun.

I would like to thank Janice, Becca and Bob for the

great job they are doing. I know they will be ready

for everyone to return to the park. We are a little

short handed right now since Doug has to be off for

a short time. He and Joe had things pretty much

under control before Doug went out.

The units are going to be inspected by the ECC this

month. I know alot of you have already started and

we appreciate that. It benefits all of us in the park.

I must go now… the frozen beverages are calling

me. See you in May!

PROPERTY MANAGERS

REPORT CONT….

trimming and clumps where drainage ditches

have been dug. Just bear with me until we are fully

staffed again and all will be taken care of.

We have decided on floating docks for the Jet Ski

enthusiast, but I have run into a glitch with the

permits. I should have everything worked out

before the end of May. Ed and the rest of the

Marina Committee are getting ready to build the

canoe and kayak rack, but they are dealing with the

weather as well.

This week the Town of Ocean City is opening the

inlet parking lot for the Spring Fest celebration.

Early in my career with the Town of Ocean City I

was very much involved in the setup of the tents,

etc. I hope and pray that the weather cooperates and

they have a successful event. Those of you that

have never attended this event, it is well worth the

visit. Admission is free and they have many

outdoor free concerts as well as some big name

entertainers within the concert tent. They have

plenty of food and drinks available as well as

vendors selling their wares.

Hope all of the Mother's out there enjoy their day.

"Happy Mother's Day"

Bob Harbaugh

SOMEONE

The E.C.C. Committee will be doing Spring

Evaluations mid-May. An E.C.C. checklist can

be obtained in the office or on the website.

The items on the checklist are the areas of

concern that the committee will be

evaluating. We thank everyone for their

effort in maintaining your home in WHP.

Many of our owners do not get to WHP as

often as they would like. This is our way of

keeping them updated and informed while

keeping curb appeal in the park.

Please remember to submit an E.C.C.

application for any new projects and

improvements to your property. “When in

doubt, fill it out

If selling your property, please

check your survey or obtain a survey to

assure that everything is within your property

lines. Over time we have discovered that

some of the sheds and ac units have been

placed on either a neighbors property or

common ground in error. The office has the

name of a local survey company that is

reasonable and that many of our residents

have used. According to the state of Md, you

must also purchase re-sale documents. The

seller buys these for their buyers. These can

be purchased at the office. The cost is

$100.00.

There are currently forty four (44) owners on the

waiting list. A new list is posted at the marina.

We have received the approval from the BOD’s to

construct a kayak rack. We will start building this

right away. All Kayaks must have WHP stickers.

GO PAPERLESS

Want to help the environment and save money for our community? Help WHP go paper-less! You can have your bills and newsletters e-mailed to you. This allows us to get it to you quicker, saves money on postage and paper and of course, saves a tree

or two. We already have quite a few residents

using this system and we are hoping to have

more. Please contact the office to make the

change. As always, monthly dues are not

billed. These payments are regularly made by

our home owners on the first of each month.

Thanks for helping us make WHP office more

efficient.

WHP Playground has

been updated for safety and fun in the last year.

We have added new playground equipment and

will be adding a border and more sand in the

upcoming months. The children seem to love

the new jungle gym/sliding boards as well as

the digger, merry go round and jet ski bouncer.

Located next to the new pavilion, where you

can relax while the kids play.

White Horse Park will hold a Flea

Market on June 18th

.

In past years, our flea markets have been very

successful. Open to non-residents. Held rain or

shine, in the Club House & Enclosed Pavilion.

Breakfast and coffee will be available for sale as

well.

Please call the office early to reserve a table.
