ISLAY HOUSE OPEN DAY 1PM-LATE (BBQ FROM 4PM)

Packed full of character and charm, Islay House provides the perfect setting for our celebrations. Enjoy a wide range of local produce, including Islay Ales and Islay Oysters, along with local craft stalls and exhibits, and of course some rare and superb SMWS whiskies. We’ll also have a mouth-watering seafood barbecue, manned by our Islay House chef, to keep you satisfied as we continue our celebrations with some live Scottish music and other surprise local artists throughout the day. WHISKY BAR IS OPEN FROM 1PMWith celebratory bottles and drams available. The Peat Cutter Bar will be open from 1pm, serving a wide variety of Islay malts from all distilleries on the island, including a rare selection of bottlings from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Out on the lawn, the SMWS will be serving a unique collection of its fine single cask whiskies, selected exclusively from its spiritual homeat The Vaults in Leith.

ISLAY HOUSE GAMES TWO SESSSIONS: 2.30-4PM / 4.30-6PM

For those with a competitive streak, we’ll be holding a series of Islay inspired games out on the lawn – from The Port Ellen Haggis Roll to archery, the games will test your teamwork and skill. Sign-up for the games will take place on the day and teams will be allocated, and of course there will be whisky prizes for the winners.

SMWS MASTERCLASSESWe’re pleased to announce that SMWS ambassador andall-round great-guy, Matt Bailey, will be joining us fromour branch in Australia to host our series of Islay masterclasses.

OPENING TASTING: Character Tours: Festival Bottlings 2-3pm / Ticket £35Join us as we explore the wonderful variety of our 2019 celebratory festival bottlings from Speyside, Campbeltown and Islay. Expect the unexpected with some characters challenging preconceptions. Five festival drams to be discovered and shared.

Peaty Wonders: Old & Rare 6.30-7.30pm / Ticket £50Prepare your taste-buds for an extra-ordinary taste sensation as weguide you through a selection of old and rare, peated whiskies – not available to sample anywhere else on the Island.
