We are a… Consortium of 10 counties in north-central Indiana, funded by the Lilly Endowment, devoted to working together to fuel prosperity by harnessing the power of internet-enabled sensors to develop our region into a global epicenter of digital agricultural and next-generation manufacturing. We are looking for… Hard-working and motivated technology, marketing, business, and project management students interested in being a part of a 5-6 person team of Interns working over the Summer to design and execute a special Internet of Things projects supporting our regional farms and manufacturers. You should be able to… • Capabilities with the use of data management software and creation of databases • Install IoT sensors to measure Ag or Manufacturing insights • Market to regional Ag and Manufacturing partners • Round out a varied team by applying your area of interest and passion to our cause • Adapt quickly, solve problems, and project manage • Maintain professional interactions among Ivy Tech, Purdue, WHIN team and industry partners • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments You should have… • An active enrollment in Ivy Tech or Purdue • A background in technology, software development, engineering, project management, marketing, or similar • Interest in a career in Digital Agriculture, Advanced Manufacturing, and/or Computer IT • A strong work-ethic and be a self-starter • The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain regular communication • A team-mentality You get to… This internship position(s) will be important members of the WHIN team, and will be reporting to the WHIN Ivy Project Manager, Purdue faculty and/or staff, and other members of the WHIN team.
