The Kenworth manufacturing approach of Australi-an application engineering and design is a strategy that has certainly stood the test of time! As a local design team, their engineers liaise directly with customers, which gives Kenworth detailed knowl-edge of market requirements and the ability to meet customer demands. At the same time they can call on the worldwide technical resources and expertise of PACCAR Inc, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of heavy duty trucks.

We service most makes and models of trucks and trail-ers including all major repairs to Caterpillar, Cummins and DAF engine repairs, Eaton and ZF transmission repairs (manual and automated), Dana, Meritor and Sisu axle repairs.

Brown and Hurley are authorised Cummins dealers and can carry out warranty work, repairs and rebuilds of all Cummins engines.

Further to Brown and Hurley’s commitment to our customers, we have installed a state-of-the-art Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Cleaning System at our Brisbane Dealership.

Brown and Hurley operate a state of the art training centre with a dedicated full time Technical Trainer delivering training for today’s and tomorrow’s equipment.

Having a comprehensive range of cabs and bonnets in stock means minimal down time for truck repairs, getting you back on the road faster.

We can supply parts for all makes of trucks and trailers. Over $15 million in parts on hand with over 15,000 line items in stock. Access to the PACCAR Ware-house which holds over 40,000 line items over $30 million in stock. Full range of new drive heads to suit Meritor and Dana Axles. Remanufactured Eaton Transmissions. Remanufactured ZF Transmissions.

Brown and Hurley have a comprehensive range of new and used trailers to suit most applications.

The training centre replicates our work-shop environments and has the latest truck components to train staff.

The Brown and Hurley story began during World War II when two motor mechanics, Alan Brown and Jack Hurley, formed a mateship and shared a dream to start their own business. At the war’s end, armed with their modest discharge payments, the two headed back to northern New South Wales in search of a suitable business. The two soon realised that an existing mechanical business was beyond their monetary limitations so the decision was made to purchase a bicycle repair shop in Kyogle, New South Wales. The bike shop had the added attractions of a petrol bowser that would assist cash flow and an old shed at the rear that could be used for mechanical repairs.

Today Brown and Hurley have branch locations throughout northern New South Wales and Queensland. We are a single purpose company totally committed to the supply of equipment to

the road transport industry whilst striving to provide our customers with the highest level of after sales support in the industry.

Brown and Hurley is a third generation family owned Australian business and one of the largest truck dealers in Australia, representing the Kenworth and DAF brands. We look forward to the future with excitement as we continue to grow with our customers whilst retaining the sound and ethical business practices of our founders.
