Torah sh’Bichtav (Written Torah)

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear?

“Sola Scriptura”

(the Scriptures alone is authoritative for faith)

(in His Name)

[Yah -hoo-Wah]

is the Name of the Creator.

(YâHuWasHúa`) is His Son

means Set-apart, Pure.

Tehillim 27:5

For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in His booth. In the

covering of His Tent He will hide me. On a Rock He raises me up.

is for you too!

Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be

protected, pray, and hear from YâHuWasHúa. Knowing there is such a place

is a matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of building a

relationship. You need not have an advanced degree in any subject, need not

Page 7: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but instead be aware the

YaHuWaH of Y’Isra’al has a place for each Jew and Gentile who will open

their minds and hearts to Him.

Mt 6:5-8

When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to stand

and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be

seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But

you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your

door, pray to your Father Who is in secret, and your Father Who sees in

secret shall reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the

Gentiles do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Therefore don’t be like them, don't you see that your Father knows what

things you need before you ask Him.

The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by those

who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness.

It is written

Lu 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on

a stand, that those who come in may see the Light.

Tehillim. 119:105

Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.

Page 8: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your

whole body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of

darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If

therefore your whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall be

wholly full of Light, as when the Lamp with its bright shining gives you

Light.”

who see it from afar. The Secret Place, here, shines a bit of light so many can

see from afar. The topics we have chosen are addressed to Jew and Gentile

together. We do this because that is what the Bible does. This opens the

window to make more sense of what Scripture tells us!

In the secret place is plain language, something simple to read. This is a mere

starting place for deeper consideration.

In that I command thee this day to love YaHuWaH Aluahiym, to halak (walk)in His ways, and to keep His mitzvot( commands) and His chukkot

(laws)and His mishpatim,( right rulings) that thou mayest live and multiply: and YaHuWaH Aluahiym shall bless thee in the eretz ( Land) whither thou

goest to possess it.

Page 9: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

That land spoke of is his kingdom

Poor believers are YaHuWaHreceivers,

Poor in eyes of the World, but Rich in the eyes of YaHuWaH

YaHuWaH is our part and portion, and our inheritance,

A Stumbling stone to many coming to YaHuWaH, is one of procession,

Markus 10:21 Then YâHuWasHúa` beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the

poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the stauros (stake), and follow Me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved:

for he had great possessions.

YâHuWasHúa` showed genuine love for this man, even though he knew that the man might not follow him. Love is able to give tough advice; it doesn't hedge on the truth. YâHuWasHúa ` loved us enough to die for us, and he also loves us enough to talk straight to us. If his love were superficial, he

would give us only his approval; but because his love is complete, he gives us life-changing challenges.

Mattiyahu wrote that he asked what he should do to get or obtain (Gr. scho)

eternal life, but Markus and Lukas said that he used the term "inherit" (Gr. kleponomeo). The man clearly did not believe that he had eternal life and

wanted to learn what he needed to do to get it. Probably Mattiyahu recorded the exact word he used (the ipisissima verba) and Markus and Lukas interpreted what he meant (the ipisissima vox). It was important for

Mattiyahu to tell his original Jewish readers that the young man was talking about getting something that he did not possess. Markus and Lukas’ wrote

for Gentiles for whom "inheriting" clarified what was in the rich young ruler's mind. He was talking about getting something that he as a Jew thought that he had a right to obtain because of his ethnic relationship to Abraham. "In

the rich young ruler's mind entering heaven, inheriting eternal life, and having eternal life were all the same thing, and all meant 'go to heaven when

I die.' YâHuWasHúa neither affirms or denies this equation here. He understands that the young man wants to know how to enter life, or enter

Page 10: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

the kingdom." The man had a superficial understanding of goodness. YâHuWasHúa' response confronted the man with the implications of trying to do some good work to earn eternal life and calling YâHuWasHúa "good."

Was he ready to respond to YâHuWasHúa' instructions as to YaHuWaH Word? The Old Covenant taught that if a person kept the Mosaic Law he

would live

Devarim 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Devarim 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love YaHuWaH Aluahiym, to halak in

His ways, and to keep His mitzvot and His chukkot and His mishpatim, that thou mayest live and multiply: and YaHuWaH Aluahiym shall bless thee in

the eretz whither thou goest to possess it.

This was theoretically possible but practically impossible. YâHuWasHúa reminded the man of what the law required by citing five commands in the

second table of the Decalogue. The commands YâHuWasHúa mentioned are easily verifiable in conduct. Markus alone recorded the prohibition against defrauding, evidently a particular expression of stealing appropriate to the

wealthy. The man's superficial understanding of YaHuWaH standards became apparent in his claim that he had kept all those commandments from his youth up. He regarded obedience simply as external conformity without

internal purity

Phil. 3:6 Touching the Tzedakah which is in the Torah, blameless.

This was the natural implication and consequence of the Pharisees' teaching. At age 12, a Jewish boy became a "son of the covenant" (Heb. bar miswah,

from which comes Bar Mitzvah). From then on he was responsible to live by YaHuWaH commands. It is probably from this time that the man meant he had observed the law. Only Markus recorded that YâHuWasHúa loved the rich young ruler when he replied as he did. Evidently the man had sincerely

tried to earn eternal life by obeying the law. His superficial understanding of what YaHuWaH required was more his teachers' fault than his own.

YâHuWasHúa put His finger on what kept this man from having eternal life.

Page 11: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

He expressed it in the terms that the man had been using, namely, doing something. He was trusting in his wealth, wealth he probably viewed as

evidence that his good works made him acceptable to YaHuWaH. The Old Covenant taught that YaHuWaH normally blessed the righteous with

physical prosperity. He needed to abandon that essentially self-confident faith, and he needed to trust in YâHuWasHúa. He had also made wealth his YaHuWaH rather than YaHuWaH. His reluctance to part with it revealed his

idolatry. By selling all he had, giving it to the poor, and following YâHuWasHúa he would confess his repudiation of confidence in self and affirm his trust in YâHuWasHúa. Then he would have treasure in heaven, something that would last forever. Abandoning his physical security and

trusting in YâHuWasHúa was too great a risk to take. The rich young ruler's wealth brought him sorrow instead of joy. This is the only time in the

Bamidbar 18:20 And YaHuWaH spake unto Aharon: Thou shalt have no inheritance in their eretz, neither shalt thou have any part among them: ANI thy part and thine

inheritance among the benai Y’Isra’al.

The old priests (Kenunah) had no inheritance with his brethren, his inheritance

was YaHuWaH

YaHuWaH does not change yesterday, today or ever, understand above all else, our inheritance is YaHuWaH promise, its nothing to do with riches,

OUR INHERITENCE IS YÄ-HWUAH’S PROMISE

Those who have YaHuWaH for their Inheritance and their Portion forever, ought to look with contempt and indifference upon the possessions of this

are we not priests and kings of his kingdom

Shimon Kefa Alef 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal kehunah, a set apart nation, a

peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

we preach a Aluahiym of Love, a law of love, a way of love , a better word for

righteousness is kindness, then is it not a kindness to share with our fellow beings, whom we call our neighbour, for in doing so we offend no one in any

point

THINK ABOUT IT

Ya’aqóv 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole Torah, and yet offend in one [point], he

is guilty of all.

The kindness of YaHuWaH, gives birth to His Righteousness in us, leading us in the Raukh to live by the inner man

Rhomaios 3:20

Therefore by the deeds of the Torah there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the Torah [is] the knowledge of sin.

Rhomaios 3:21

But now the Tzedek of Aluahiym without the Torah is manifested, being witnessed by the Torah and the Neviim;

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to proclaim the good news (gospel) to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the good news of

Mashiyach:

to the Yehudi first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the Tzedakah (righteousness) Aluahiym revealed from faith to faith As it is written: The just shall live by faith.

So it is the gospel of the kingdom of YaHuWaH, that reveals His

Righteousness, through faith, in belief..... if you do not keep the gospel , you know not love, for the love of YaHuWaH is in his Righteousness

Hebrews 4:9

There remains therefore a Shabbat keeping to the people of Aluahiym.

Markus2:27 And He said to them:

The Shabbat was made for man, and not man for the Shabbat:

being a man this verse applies to me, and when joined to a woman to us both for we are one, it is a sign of our creator, being part of creation, before it was in the ten commandments, so to deny its existence is to offend ( break) the

entire commands,

And YâHuWasHúa went about all Galil, teaching in their shuls, and proclaiming the good news of the Malkut, and healing all manner of sickness

and all manner of disease among the people.

It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of

the mouth of YaHuWaH

If you are aware of your inability to live a righteous life, you have struggled, you have cried out, you have done everything to live the righteous life, but you realize you can't, you are in good shape. You are a good candidate now

for that righteousness that YaHuWaH has revealed through the faith of YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach. Having come to a despairing in myself and of

myself, I am brought to YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach and now this relationship with YaHuWaH through Him.

Page 15: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

Through the redemption that YaHuWaH has provided in Mashiyach YâHuWasHúa, For YaHuWaH hath set him forth to be a propitiation

through the faith in his blood, to declare YaHuWaH righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of YaHuWaH; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, when he

justifies him who believe in YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach YaHuWaH is faced with a problem.

YaHuWaH created man that He might have fellowship with man, that was YaHuWaH intent. Creating a creature with YaHuWaH-like capacities. A

creature in His image that would be a self-governing creature as YaHuWaH is self-governing. The capacity to love as YaHuWaH loves, the capacity to know that infinity exists. That he might come into fellowship a loving relationship with that infinite YaHuWaH. One thing was necessary and that was that this

creation use that choice to express his love for YaHuWaH through obedience through faith. Therefore, there had to be an alternate choice, which in this

case was the tree in the midst of the garden acknowledging good and evil, so that man could exercise choice. Then YaHuWaH declared,

"Of all of the trees that are in the garden you may freely eat except the tree in

the middle. For in the day that you eat of that tree you will die a spiritual death." You will lose your relationship with YaHuWaH. For the effect of sin in a person's life is always broken relationship with YaHuWaH. "YaHuWaH hand is not short that He cannot save, His ear is not heavy that He cannot

hear, your sins have separated you from YaHuWaH"

So when man sinned, he put himself out of fellowship with YaHuWaH. That relationship with YaHuWaH was broken, thus the purposes of YaHuWaH

were thwarted. Now YaHuWaH still desired fellowship with man, but as long as sin was there man could not fellowship with YaHuWaH. Something had to be done with man's sin, or else there is no fellowship. Therefore, in order that

YaHuWaH might renew fellowship with man, during the old covenant with the Jewish nation, He established a method by which you could take the guilt of your sin and transfer it onto an animal by faith. Bring your ox to the priest, lay your hands on its head and confess on the head of that ox all of your sins. Then the priest would kill the ox and offer it unto YaHuWaH as a sin offering, whereby your sins could be covered by faith,

because the ox had died in your place. The death that you deserved because of your sins, because the soul that sins shall surely die. So that was the

righteous

Page 16: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

basis by which YaHuWaH could restore fellowship with man in the Old Covenant. As a man would bring the substitute and let it die in his place and then fellowship with YaHuWaH could be restored until man sinned again. If that were still true today and we had sacrifices here and you had to come an

bring your animal for a sacrifice and your sins could be forgiven and you could sit here for a little while just fellowshipping with YaHuWaH

and enjoy the blessing of YaHuWaH presence and all in your life, it probably wouldn't last too long. Just driving from here to the freeway, just getting out

of the parking lot you might blow it. Thus, you would have to, before you could fellowship with YaHuWaH again, bring another sacrifice and get things all cleaned up once more. These sacrifices were all done in faith, because they were looking forward to the sacrifice that YaHuWaH was going to provide for

man's sins. There is that beautiful story of Abraham when YaHuWaH said unto him,

Bereshiyth 22:2

And he said:" Take now thy son, thine only [son] Yitzchak, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the eretz Moriah; and offer him there for a Olah

(burnt offering) upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Put that alongside of

Yochanan 3:16, For Aluahiym so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Ben, that Whosoever believeth in Him should not ne'evad (perish) but have Chayim

Olam (everlasting life)

And Avraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Yitzchak his son, and clave the wood for the

Olah (burnt offering), and rose up, and went unto the place of which Aluahiym had told him. Then on the third day Avraham lifted up his eyes,

and saw the place afar off. And Avraham said unto his young men:" Abide ye here with the ass; and I

and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you." And Avraham took the wood of the Olah (burnt offering), and laid [it] upon

Yitzchak his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

Vayomer Yitzcha al-Avraham ( Aviv vayomer: Avi vayomer Hineni, Beni

Page 17: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

(here am I, my son), Vayomer: Hinei, ha eish(fire) ve hatzim (wood) ve ayeh ha Seh(lamb) leOlah (burnt offering)? Vayomer Avraham : "Aluahiym

yirehlo ha Seh leOlah, Beni" veyelkhu sheneihem yakhdav.

My son, Aluahiym will provide (yireh) Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." will provide Himself a lamb for a Olah (burnt offering)"so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which Aluahiym

had told him of; and Avraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Yitzchak hi son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Avraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

And the messenger of YaHuWaH called unto him out of shamayim, and said, Avraham, Avraham: and he said,

Hinnei (here I am). And he said:

"Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest Aluahiym, seeing thou hast not withheld thy

son, thine only [ben] from me." And Avraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and hinnei behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Avraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a Olah (burnt offering) in the

stead of his son.

YaHuWaHYirah

YaHuWaH will provide or YaHuWaH sees, And Avraham called the name of that place YaHuWaH Yireh as it is

said [to] this day, In the Mount of YaHuWaH it shall be seen. So they came to the mount and Abraham began to put Isaac upon the altar,

raised the knife, and YaHuWaH said, "Abraham, that is far enough. We've got the

picture. Behold, the ram is caught by its horns there in the thicket, take it and offer it as a sacrifice." Abraham called the place YaHuWaH-Yirah, He will

provide or the He sees, and then he said, "For in the mount of the YaHuWaH it shall be seen."

Mount Moriah,

where Abraham said YaHuWaH will provide Himself a sacrifice so that all of those sacrifices that later were instituted in the law of Moses all looked

forward to the fulfillment of the prophecy of Abraham when YaHuWaH would provide Himself a sacrifice.

Page 18: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

And 2000 years later on Mount Moriah YaHuWaH provided Himself a sacrifice, for it was on the top of Mount Moriah that YâHuWasHúa was

crucified. YaHuWaH declared His righteousness toward us, and YaHuWaH is righteous when He justifies us, for YâHuWasHúa took our sins upon Himself. And thus, the judgment of YaHuWaH, righteous judgment of YaHuWaH for

sin and death, spiritual death has been fulfilled. So that YaHuWaH is now righteous when He justifies me. There is a righteous basis, for if someone else has stepped in and died in my place. That's the whole gospel that deals with

YaHuWaH being just when He justifies the ungodly. YaHuWaH has justified me; He has declared me righteous before Him

through my faith in the blood of YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach through the redemption that is in YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach.

Thus, I have received the remission of my sins which are past. So YaHuWaH has shown His righteousness as He is just when He justifies those who believe

in YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach.

Rom 3:27 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what Torah? of works? Nay: but

by the Torah of emunah (belief). You see, I can't boast of all of the good that I have done. Of all of the

sacrifices that I have made, of the great difficulties Boasting is excluded, because I am declared righteous by my faith in YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach, and if there is any boasting to be done it has to be done in YâHuWasHúa. As

Paul said, "YaHuWaH forbid that I should boast save in the Tree of YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach „All my boasting has to be in what

YâHuWasHúa has done for me, not what I have done for Him. Now it is unfortunate that so often in assemblies

the emphasis is on what man should be doing for YaHuWaH. And YaHuWaH help me, He has forgiven me for years I was guilty of sin

under deep guilt trips because I ought to be doing more for YaHuWaH, to be sacrificing more, to be giving more, to be doing more, to be praying more,

to be anything more. And I was emphasizing the work that the New Covenant points us not to what we have done or can do for YaHuWaH, but it points us to what YaHuWaH has done for us. It points us to the tree, If I

am diligent and I spend two hours a day in prayer, and if I spend four hours a day in the Word of YaHuWaH, and three hours a day on the witnessing,

then I like to stand up and say, "I'd like to thank YaHuWaH for His goodness to me and I am just glad that I can go out three hours a day in being a

Page 19: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

witness for YâHuWasHúa. And those four hours a day in the Word are just so precious to me. And those two hours of prayer, my, I wouldn't give them

up for anything." I am boasting in what I am doing. Everybody says, "Oh, wow! Isn't he a righteous person?" Now, I am a sinner. I am a hopeless sinner

if it were not for the grace of YaHuWaH; I deserve His judgment. But YaHuWaH loved me even though I was a sinner. And He sent His son who also loved me and who took the guilt and the responsibility for my sin and

died in my place, and now offers me forgiveness, righteousness, justification, fellowship with YaHuWaH, if I will just believe in the sacrifice and

in the work that He has wrought in my behalf. Therefore, I cannot boast in my works or in my goodness. And when you get to his kingdom, it isn't

going to be a big bragging session and we all get around and tell of all the marvelous things we did for YaHuWaH on the earth. Though, when we get to kingdom we will just be that glorious, "YâHuWasHúa paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin hath left its crimson stain, but He washed me white as snow."

And through the ages to come we will be rejoicing in the grace of YA-HWUAH through YâHuWasHúa HaMaschiyach, whereby I have access to

the Father--fellowship with YaHuWaH. Where is boasting then? It is excluded.

Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what Torah? of works? Nay: but

by the Torah of emunah.

How can I boast in the faith that YaHuWaH has given to me?

That is the conclusion.

For is he the YaHuWaH of the Jews only? Is he not also the YaHuWaH of the heathen? Yes, oft he heathen also: Now seeing it is one YaHuWaH, which

shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law

through faith? No, YaHuWaH forbid: we are establishing the law

Rom 3:29-31 [Is he] the Aluahiym of the Yehudi only? [is he] not also of the Goyim?

Yes, of the Goyim also: Is not Ya-hwuah our maker, preserver, and redeemer,

Seeing [it is] Aluahiym is One, which shall justify the brit milah by emunah, and uncircumcision through emunah.

Page 20: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

Do we then make void the Torah through emunah?

Chalilah (Far be it) :yea,

we uphold the Torah!

Calvin explains: "What Ya’aqóv says, that man is not justified by faith alone, but also by works, does not at all militate against the preceding view [of

justification by faith alone]. The reconciling of the two views depends chiefly on the drift of the argument pursued by Ya’aqóv. For the question with him

is not, how men attain righteousness before YaHuWaH, but how they prove it to others that they are justified; for his object was to

confute hypocrites, who vainly boasted that they had faith . . . Ya’aqóv meant no more than that man is not made or proved to be just by a feigned or dead

faith, and that he must prove his righteousness by his works."

Rhomaios Chapter 4 What, then, shall we say Abraham our father, to have found, according to the

flesh? For if Abraham was declared right by works, he has ground for boasting, but not before Aluahiym. For what does the Scripture say?

“Abraham believed Aluahiym, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And to him who is working, the reward is not reckoned as a favour but as a debt. And to him who is not working but believes on Him who is declaring

right the wicked, his belief is reckoned for righteousness, even as Dawyid also says of the blessedness of the man to whom Aluahiym reckons right eo

usness without works: “Blessed are those whose lawlessness’s are forgiven, and whose sins are covered, blessed is the man to whom יהוה shall by no means reckon sin.” Is this blessing then upon the circumcised only, or also upon the uncircumcised? For we affirm: Belief was reckoned unto Abraham for righteousness. How then was it reckoned? Being in circumcision, or in

uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the belief while in

uncircumcision, for him to be a father of all those believing through Uncircumcision, for righteousness to be reckoned to them also, and the

father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the belief which our father Abraham had in

uncircumcision. For the promise that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham or to his seed through the Torah, but through a

righteousness of belief. For if those who are of the Torah are heirs, belief has

Page 21: WHEN the TRUTH be KNOWN

been made useless, and the promise has been nullified ,for the Torah works out wrath, for where there is no Torah there is no transgression. On account

of this it is of belief, that it be according to favour, for the promise to be made certain to all the seed, not only to those who are of the Torah, but also

to those who are of the belief of Abraham, who is father of us all as it has been written, “I have made you a father of many nations” – in the presence of Him whom he believed, even Aluahiym, who gives life to the dead and calls that which does not exist as existing, who against all expectation did believe, in expectation, so that he should become father of many nations, according to what was said, “So shall your seed be.” And not having grown

weak in belief, he did not consider his own body, already dead, being about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb, he did not hesitate

about the promise of Aluahiym through unbelief, but was strengthened in belief, giving esteem to Aluahiym, and being completely persuaded that what He had promised He was also able to do. Therefore also “it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And not because of him alone was it written that it

was reckoned to him, but also because of us, to whom it shall be reckoned, to us who believe in Him who raised up יהושע our Master from the dead, who

was delivered up because of our trespasses, and was raised for us to be declared right.
