When it comes to spiritual growth, we need to be able to measure the unseen – a measurement of hearts. The proper question to ask is not “how many” but “where are we in our relationship with God?” It is a question God will ask each one of us. The objective of the survey is to have a scientific assessment and biblical measurement of how God is working in the lives of His people in NTCAC.

The spiritual health of NTCAC is not just about numbers. It is about the movement of people toward Christ-centered, Christ-likeness, toward deep love for God and genuine love for others. The survey will help us see objectively where we are currently in the spiritual continuum of growth; what are the strengths we have; what we are lacking; and what we need where we can help and encourage people in their pursuit of Christ as His disciples. The first survey will bench mark – like a snapshot – our current state of spiritual growth as a church and gives us a basis for long-term spiritual growth vision, direction and strategy.

The survey is not primarily an assessment for individual Christian. We know God –and God alone – builds up life. How He does that is mysterious and unknowable. And it is unique to every person. Nevertheless, the survey results will give us valuable insights of what catalyzes spiritual growth; what people really want and need from the church and its leaders; what are the barriers that cause people to stall growing spiritually and what are the changes NTCAC need to make to foster continued growth in brothers and sisters as individual.

The pastoral team and the elders board are totally committed to the survey results and work whatever it takes to instill spiritual growth. It is not church spoon feeding Christians to grow scenario though it may be necessary for younger Christians. It is church harnessing and supporting the enthusiasm and engagement of Christ-centered pursuit of believers to become matured and fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
