Superior Art Building Material, LLC. founded the Gemart glazed porcelain tile brand in 2007. Our company has strive to provide beautiful designs, excellent quality and affordability to our customers, without depleting the earth of it’s natural resources.

Our tile designs are the artwork of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, World Buddhist Leader, International Master of Art, and recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award for International Service and Leadership.

His Oriental paintings are appraised to have both the highest appraised value and the highest market value in the world by the certified expert appraiser. Such rare and famous paintings and splendid tiles are national-treasure level artwork that will be permanently on exhibit at the soon to open International Art Museum of America in San Francisco.

His Holiness has always wanted to replace traditional flooring & wall tile coverings with designs that appear as splendid as gemstones. In creating these gem like designs that people with refined tastes could appreciated H.H. Dorje Chang Budda wielded his brush and 6 exciting collections were born!

The vibrant colors and lively patterns overturn existing concepts of tile design and can be combined to create thousands of different patterns. The 6 main categories: Rustic Elegance, Lyrical Charm, Luxurious Gem, Serene Nobility, Contemporary Distinctions and Heavenly Stone have opened a new chapter in history.

Our hope is that we begin to see the environment in which we live in as art. Not only should our spaces function, but meet us with exquisite beauty that positively influences our lives.

The Technology

Superior Art continues to lead the industry in it’s development and use of the most advanced printing, glaze and polish techniques. Our crystal polish technology is the most advance glaze finish available. We offer crystal polish in a matte or glossy finish for select porcelain collections. Our customers can enjoy a luxurious polished surface with out the maintenance of annual sealing, required by other tile and stone types.

Manufacturer Notes’

Crystal Polish tiles although extremely durable are not recommended for filed tile use in a heavy commercial floor application but can be used on walls, decorative floor borders and decorative floor inserts. Crystal Polish tiles are well suited for residential and light/medium commercial floors and wall applications.

If you are interested in using crystal polish tiles in ADA coded areas, please contact the Superior Art sales team for our ADA compliance options.

Installation of Gemart’s rectified tiles can be done with as little as a 1/16th” grout joint for a more seamless look.

Non Sanded grout is recommend for all Crystal polish glossy tiles to prevent sanding/dulling of the high gloss appearence of the crystal polish gloss finish.

All Gemart porcelain tiles can be installed in both interior and exterior applications.

Maintainace is easy and carefree. Gemart tiles are all glazed porcelains and require no special maintainance, cleaners or sealers for standard applications. Simply dust, mop, vacuum, or wash your floor and walls as usual.
