Did you know that the new structure at Wheeler will have a roof covered in grass and plant life? This is called a Green Roof, and they’re popping up on buildings all over the country.
Green roofs are made with vegetation and soil, or a growing medium, planted over a waterproofing membrane. It also might include additional layers, like a root barrier, drainage, or irrigation systems. This is a design for a green roof. Most
green roofs have a similar design.
