*Wheel Selection Optional
Step 1. – Assemble Angled Tongue Section, Bow Stop Foam Bumper, and Tongue Handle Grip
Slide Bow Stop Foam Bumper Onto ATS Insert Tongue handle into ATS and Install Grip
Step 2. Assemble Axle Beam , Upright Stanchion Assembly, Upright Stanchion Roller Assembly, and Axles
Insert Upright Stanchion Assembly into Axle Beam end and install Wire Lock Pin (WLP)-Left Side shown, Right Side Similar
NOTE: The Upright Stanchions may be installed to any of four positions, which are used to adjust the width of the Axle Beam. Three
of the positions have pre-drilled holes. After you select the desired width, insert the WLP. The fourth position does not require
WLP; the Upright Stanchions may be FULLY inserted into the Axle Beam, which will provide the narrowest width adjustment. If used
in this configuration, the Hull Cross Strap will retain the Upright Stanchions in the Axle Beam.
NOTE: The Upright Stanchion Roller Assembly has four height adjustment positions, in one-inch increments. After you select the
correct height for your application, install the Upright Stanchion Roller Assembly onto the Upright Stanchion Assembly using
included hardware. Tighten bolt and nuts securely.
NOTE: The Axles will accommodate three different Wheeleez® wheels. Insert the Axle into the Upright Stanchion axle plug. After
aligning the axle holes corresponding to your wheel choice, install the WLP. Left side shown, right side similar.
Step 3. Assemble Axle Beam to Tongue Sections
The Straight Tongue Section has two pre-drilled holes; ensure the Axle Beam connection aligns as shown. Insert the Straight Tongue
Section into the Axle beam T-Section and insert WLP.
Slide the Tongue Section Sleeve onto the Straight Tongue Section until the third hole aligns and install WLP. This is the shortest
adjustment position for the tongue sections.
Step 4: Assemble Hull Cross Strap
Unroll the strap and lay out as shown. Insert strap end under one Upright Stanchion Roller and loop over the other Upright
Stanchion Roller.
NOTE: Install strap with buckles on bottom to prevent contact with boat.
Weave strap through both metal buckles. Weave strap end in-between buckles. Pull tight.
NOTE: If Upright Stanchion Assemblies are fully inserted into Axle Cross Beam, the Hull Cross Strap MUST be securely installed!
Gather remaining strap material and secure with Velcro closure.
Boat Dolly Adjustments
Model # WZ1-BD
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY
PRIOR TO LOADING YOUR BOAT ONTO THE DOLLY.
You will need to know two dimensions prior to adjusting and loading your boat onto the
Wheeleez® Boat Dolly:
1. Beam – Measure the beam. You will use this dimension to determine the distance
between the Upright Stanchion Rollers.
2. Length – Measure the length of the boat and note the center or middle. You will use this
dimension to estimate the Center of Gravity (CG)*.
#1 - Adjust Boat Dolly width using the Wire Lock Pins.
After you determined the beam of your boat, adjust the Upright Stanchions so that your
boat will rest between the Upright Rollers, NOT on them.
Secure Hull Cross Strap prior to loading boat onto the dolly.
#2 - Adjust Boat Dolly length using the Wire Lock Pins.
Bolts, washers and nuts are used for the Bow Stop Roller.
Determine boat’s CG: Pull boat onto dolly until it balances on the Hull Cross Strap - this
is the CG for your boat.
* NOTE: The CG is not necessarily the ‘center’ or ‘middle’ of the boat, however, the
measurement made earlier is a fair estimate and a good starting point.
Adjust dolly length so that your boat rests against the Bow Stop Bumper.
Move the Bow Stop Roller to a position that best supports your boat.
If tongue weight is heavy, shorten dolly length to move the CG aft.
If tongue weight is light, lengthen the dolly to move the CG forward.
#3 - Adjust Boat Dolly height using bolts, washers and nuts.
Adjust the Upright Stanchions so that your boat has several inches of clearance above the
Axle Cross Beam when loaded.
NOTE: The Hull Cross Strap is a tightly woven nylon, but may stretch slightly over time.
Check for proper installation and support prior to each use.
