What size clamps suit your vehicle?

How do I fit Prolock Clamps?

1 Fit wheel to vehicle using best practice policy, ensuring all wheel nuts are correctlytorqued, and that time has been allowed for settlement etc.

2 Prolock clamps are fitted to the wheel nuts using a specially designed tool which hasa magnetic clamp holder to help locate the clamp correctly over the pair of wheelnuts you wish to lock.

3 Once the Prolock clamp is in position, it can be driven onto the nuts using a soft faceheavy hammer. We recommend the Prolock nylon faced dead blow hammer with alead shot filling. This gives a solid impact, making fitting easy and efficient. Ordinarysteel lump hammers may damage the fitting tool and are noisy and hard work.

4 The Prolock fitting tool is designed with a depth stop shoulder which stops the Prolockclamps from being hammered on too far. Once the stop is reached, the lock is fitted.

5 Check that the Prolock Clamp is fitted completely onto both nuts and is tight with nomovement detectable.

6 We recommend fitting 3 Prolock clamps to each 10 stud wheel, and at least 2 to a 6or 8 stud wheel. Whilst locking all wheel nuts is a temping option, having unlockednuts leaves the facility to enable regular torque checks.

7 Prolock clamps are removed, either by simply undoing the nut with a wrench, or byusing a small pry bar to lever the clamp off. We do not recommend that any clamp isrefitted after it has been removed. The security of any Prolock clamp can only beguaranteed for single use.

Propoint wheel nut safety markers are widely used as an early warning of wheel nut movement. Propoint markers are especiallydesigned for use with the Prolock wheel nut clamps. By fitting these to adjacent unlocked nuts these give warning of torque losson the locked wheel. Although a locked wheel may still be attached, it may be necessary to periodically check torque.
