Registration Information
Minimum Graduation Requirements
English – 4 credits(English I, II, III, IV)
Math – 4 credits (Math I, Math II, Math III and AFM or higher level)
Science – 3 credits (Earth and Environmental, Biology and Physical Science or higher level)
Social Studies –3 credits class of 2015/ 4 credits class of 2016 and beyond
(World History, Civics, American History I, American History II)
Physical Education – 1 credit (Healthful living)
Electives – 13 credits 2 from CTE, Arts, or World Languages 4 credit sequence strongly recommended
World Languages 2 credits in same language required to apply to a
4-yr college/university
Honors Level Courses
Require teacher recommendation/parent waiver
Require honors contract signed by student and parent
Courses are more challenging and demanding
Heavier workload and homework (30 min)
Advanced Placement Courses
Outside/Summer readingsHeavier workload and homework (1hr min)AP contract signed by parent and student

Advanced Placement Continued
All AP Courses are for students who want a more rigorous course experience-it is a college level course.
Students should have A’s or high B’s in their Honors courses.
AP courses are taught face to face or on-line. *If you take an on-line AP course, you MUST match it with another year long course. This can be another AP, Honors or a Standard course as long as it is year long. On-Line AP is considered a SKINNY.

correlates with page number for listing in the Program of studies

Check requested core courses on front Rank at least 6 elective choices on the back Number elective courses in order of preference (1
being first choice) Courses that are available to take more than one
semester have double box next to course title (PE, Art….)
Courses that require applications (Yearbook, Peer Tutor, Lab assistant, Media Assistant, Nursing Fundamentals, etc.) – rank with other electives; will be considered if application approved
