Mary StuartTwo queens. One in power. One in prison. It’s all in the execution. Following its critically acclaimed West End run, Robert Icke’s new adaptation of ‘Mary Stuart’ visits The Lowry for one week only.
Schiller’s political tragedy takes us behind the scenes of some of British history’s most crucial days. Playing both Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots, Juliet Stevenson (‘Hamlet’) and Lia Williams (‘Kiri’, ‘Oresteia’) trade the play’s central roles, decided at each performance by the toss of a coin.

Following sell-out runs at the National Theatre and in the West End, James Graham’s critically acclaimed play takes on new importance in the current political climate.
Roll back to 1974. The corridors of Westminster ring with the sound of infighting and backbiting as Britain’s political parties battle to change the future of the nation. A timely, moving and very funny insight into the workings of British politics.

Join the eccentric Doctor, his human companions and his exotic menagerie of animal friends on an extraordinary adventure to find the secret of life and making the world a happier place. With help from the Pushmi-Pullyu and his trusty sidekick Polynesia the parrot, Doctor Dolittle teaches us not only to talk to the animals but to listen to them as well! Based on the popular 1967 film with Rex Harrison, this stage version from the producers of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, promises stunning visual puppetry and fun for all the family.
