duringtheseventhannualStBaldrick’seventinCollingswoodonSun Mar 20.
Which decade had the best hairstyles?
• Here she is! What’s On spotted USHA PATEL working with her husband, Arun, at Haddon Avenue’s Westmont Liquors. Usha still loves the big bouffant hairdos of the ’60’s. “They were popular in India, too!” she exclaimed.
• Haddon Township’s SANDY GASPARRO said, “I’ll go with the 1980’s.” She admitted, “I had really big hair ... I’m sure all of my students remember it.” Sandy works at Tatem Elementary School in Haddonfield.
• There’s nothing like chasing a toddler around Knight Park!
DANIELLE SEWARD still appreciates
the time and effort required to cultivate
a hip hairdo in the late 1980’s. “I’ll have
to go with the big poofy bangs of the
’80’s,” she laughed. Danielle is pictured with her daughter,
NOVALEE (1).
• The Bayard family was found taking advantage of a sunny February afternoon at Collingswood’s Knight Park. Grandfather KEVIN BAYARD responded philosophically, “All hairstyles have their time ... I liked the afros in the ’70’s.” ARYONNA (2) and TYONNA’S (4) dad, DARNELL BAYARD is happy with present-
day styles. “I like my hair the way it is right now,” he replied.
• The Pop Shop’s BRIAN PEEKE recalled sporting a rattail in the
early ’90’s. “We all had them then ... and we all hate them now,”
he laughed.
• Pop Shop manager KEVIN SPERLUNTO reminisced about the bowl cut he had in the late 1990’s. “All the kids had them.
It was my mom’s choice, not mine!” he explained.
