Park at 132nd and Metcalf Road on Saturday, April 19th at 8:00am
and join us for the 3rd annual Easter Egg 5K and Lil' Bunny Fun
Run.
This fun family event features a beautiful course that you are sure to enjoy plus
face painters for the kids, a visit from the Easter bunny, great event shirts, post
race food and drink, unique finishers medals for all participants, plus overall and
age group awards.
In addition to the 5K we will have the Lil' Bunny Fun
Run for kids 8 years old and younger! A portion of the
proceeds from the event will benefit Marillac.

Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, MO announces SteelHawk, a new ride that will
take guests to breathtaking new heights! Get ready to take flight as SteelHawk
soars 301 feet in the air and spreads its steel wings at a 45-degree angle at a
speed of 8 rotations a minute swinging riders for a 60-second flight. Approxi-
mately 100ft taller than Rip Cord, Mamba, and Detonator riders will experience
a sense of exhilaration which will mimic the feeling of free flight. SteelHawk
will feature 32 two-person swings that provide gravity-defying thrills as riders’
feet dangle at heights never experienced before at Worlds of Fun. On a clear day
you can see stunning views across Kansas City. Families can experience the
thrill of SteelHawk together, and with its unique LED light display mounted on
the arms; SteelHawk is an outstanding nighttime ride.
Verrückt is still under construction but this monster of a
slide already dominates the skyline at our Kansas City Schlitterbahn. Adventure seekers will be able to share this
experience as they strap into a 4 person raft that will slide
down a jaw dropping 17-story structure, be blasted back up a second hill and then send them down yet another gut
wrenching drop for the ultimate in water slide thrills!

with some of Missouri’s best natural resources, native plants! Learn how to save time, money
and create wildlife habitat with educational sessions on shade-loving plants, butterfly garden-
ing, stepping stones, wild edibles, treescaping and many more. The Native Plant Sale is open
from 12:45–1:15 PM for workshop participants and 1:15–3:45 PM for the public. For

No registration required (all ages) You know spring is near when you begin to hear the chirp-
ing and trills of frogs and toads. Come out and learn about these small but important amphibi-
