IN THIS ISSUE: • Family fun Field Trip Recap • Make your voice heard! • PACT Program Advisory Council Team Meeting • Showcase Dates • Revised Program End Date • 21st Century Summer Lego Academy FAMILY FUN FIELD TRIP Our 21 st Century scholars and their families attended a field trip on Sunday March 3, 2019 to Eisenhower Hall to see the Illusionists magic show and experience a Meet & Greet with some of the cadets. Attendees witnessed science concepts based on the five senses requiring skills in mathematics and engineering which were manipulated by the magicians to create optical illusions. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD The second Quality Self-Assessment survey link is on the district website. We ask all family members to complete the survey a second time as required by federal law. This is your opportunity to make your voices heard and participate in the planning of next year’s programming. Survey results are crucial for the district’s continued funding of services for our scholars. PACT (PROGRAM ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING) The final Pact Meeting for the 2018-2019 school year will be held on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Board of Education’s auditorium at 124 Grand Street. Participation forms will be sent to families, staff, and students in an effort to increase participation in the meetings. REVISED PROGRAM END DATE The last day of 21st Century Programs at Balmville, GAMS, Gardnertown, Horizons on the Hudson, and Vails Gate has been changed to April 17, 2019 as per the NECSD revised calendar.
21 ST CENTURY SUMMER LEGO ACADEMY Our 2019 summer academy will be held July 8, 2019-July 25, 2019. The Summer Showcase will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 for sixty children from the five 21 st Century schools. Applications and more details to be posted on the district website soon.

EXCURSIÓN DE DIVERSIÓN FAMILIARNuestros estudiantes del 21st Century y sus familias asistieron a una excursión el domingo 3 de marzo de 2019 a Eisenhower Hall para ver el espectáculo de magia de los ilusionistas y experimentar un evento de Conocer y Saludar con algunos de los cadetes. Los asistentes fueron testigos de conceptos científicos basados en los cinco sentidos que requieren habilidades en matemáticas e ingeniería que fueron manipulados por los magos para crear ilusiones ópticas.
