a Higher Education Social Pact by the Federal and State Governments for the STWs enabling their capacities to at last keep pace with the record number of students 3.4 billion euros for social infrastruc- ture: – a billion euros in government subsidies for the main- tenance and renovation of the STW student resi- dence halls – 800 million euros in government subsidies for the new construction of at least 25,000 additional resi- dence hall places – 1.6 billion euros in government subsidies for the renovation, modernisation and expansion of STW dining service capacities, including 100 million euros for their cafeterias Furthermore, we demand that procurement law be simplified and the Federal States, municipalities and the Institute for Federal Real Estate (BIMA) allocate property to the STWs free of charge. What we want more money from the Federal States for STW Counselling for students, especially for Psychological Counsel- ling and Social Counselling a real BAföG Reform that makes BAföG fit for the future: – regular increases in BAföG eligibility requirements and parents’ allowances every two years, based on the official BAföG reports a BAföG notification for the entire length of study, instead of new applications each year maximum duration of support plus two semesters beyond the standard period of study – BAföG support for all types of studying provided for by higher education law (for instance part-time studying, orientation studies) clever and consistent digitisation of BAföG, with e-application, e-notification, e-file > Our exact demands (in German): dswurl.de/AWZXo
