• Introduction, and the circumstances in which it was established.

• It should give somebody who is reading the project for the first time a sense of what it is about.

• Short/succinct.

• What is your one sentence description of your project?

• A/ Give an overview of your project. (150 words)

• B/Describe in one sentence what your project is about? (15 words)

The Issue.

• Define what the societal issue/problem is. (300 words)

• Focus on describing the problem itself. DO NOT provide any details on the work your are going to do to address it.

• Draw on any examples and research evidence to support your answer.

• This section presents your solution. It describes what you do,and explains how your solution works in addressing the societal issue/problem.

• Draw on examples and research to support your answer.

• Describe the solution you have developed. (200 words)

• Describe the research that you have carried out. (200 words)

What’s Different?

• You should be aware of what is currently done to address this problem, and know the market in which you operate.

• You should be able to explain why your approach is different, innovative and more effective than existing approaches in tackling this societal issue.

• Attempt to identify any other projects who at some level are working on this problem. Is there someone you can compare yourself with?

• In summary, who else is out there working on this problem, and what makes your approach different, innovative and more effective?
