I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall nd me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durableriches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea,

than ne gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in theway of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:Tat I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; andI will ll their treasures (Proverbs 8:17-21).

In this passage of Scripture, the wisdom of God isspeaking. In this context, the wisdom of God is very simplythe Word of God. It is the Word of God that you nd writ-ten in the Bible, as well as the Word of God that He mayspeak to your spirit. Te Bible is teaching us here that whereyou nd wisdom you will nd riches. Tere is a wisdom-riches connection. Wisdom and riches are like Batman andRobin; where you see one, you see the other. However, theriches that come with this type of wisdom are not the typeof riches that we are seeing in the world today that sprout

wings and y away. Te world is seeing that their riches are

uncertain, but the Bible teaches that the wisdom of God willproduce durable riches in your life. Even when the economyis down, you will still have your riches; when the economyis up, you will still have your riches. You can be an individ-ual that does not have to participate in the worlds economybecause you operate on the Word economy. Even in times of

recession, members of the Body of Christ can see increase.

Proverbs 8:20-21

I lead in the way of righteousness, in the

midst of the paths of judgment; That I may

cause those that love me to inherit sub-

stance; and I will ll their treasures.

We see in Proverbs 8:20 that wisdom leads us in the wayof righteousness. Notice that there is one way of righteous-ness. All of the other religions in the world are not justdifferent ways up the mountain, as many would have youbelieve. No, Muslims do not serve the same God that weserve; neither do Buddhists or Hindus. Teir way of living isnot the way of righteousness.

Again, there is one way of righteousness, and the Bibleteaches that wisdom leads us in that way so that we caninherit substance. Now, we know that wisdom leads us inthe ways of God for reasons other than that, but here Godis emphasizing the inheritance of substance. God is sayingthat He has given us His Word so that we, His children, caninherit (which means to occupy)substance, and so that Hecan ll our treasures (Proverbs 8:21).

Introduction

Now, today we dont have treasures so to speak; we

have bank accounts. God is saying that He has given youHis wisdom so that He can ll up your bank account. Hedidnt just say put something in it; He said ll it! And Hedidnt just say He would ll one; He said, I will ll yourtreasures. He says the same thing in Proverbs 3:10 so shall your barns be lled with plenty,and in Deuteronomy

28:8 Te Lord shall command the blessing upon you in yourstorehouses. Notice that treasures, barns and storehouses areall plural.

Te point is, God wants to ll your treasures. We cansee very clearly from Proverbs, chapter eight alone thatGods will for His children is that they operate in divine

wealth. His will is that His children dont just have enough,but that we have more than enough, so much so that wedont have room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10).

We should have so much wealth that it will cause theworld to look at us and want to know how we received it; itshould cause them to want to know the God that gave it tous!

God wants you to prosper nanciallyperiod. It is abiblical fact. Gods Word shows you how to prosper nan-cially. I believe that part of the calling on my life is to teachGods people how to harvest.

I believe this book will give you revelation that willcause money to ow into your life, causing you to be blessedand to become an even greater blessing to others in the daysto come!

T o ully understand Gods system o doing things,believers must realize that every blessing o God hasa God-ward side and a man-ward side. God hasa part to play and you have a part to play. We know thatGod is always going to do His part. Te reason why manyare not walking in the wealth that God wants us to walk inis because we have not done our part. We must learn how tocooperate with God. We must learn how to work with Godso that His heavenly will can mani est in this earthly realm.

For example, when a parent teaches his or her childhow to ride a bike, he or she puts training wheels on thebike and stands next to the bike while the child rides sothat the child will not all. Te parent is there to supportand help the child as he or she learns how to ride the bike;however, the parent will not be able to help the child unlessthe child rst starts to pedal. I the parent says to the child,

Come on, baby, lets go, and the child doesnt move, but

they respond, Lets go, Momma! How come you arent doinganything? Tat is not going to work! Te child needs topedal; as the child pedals, the parent can help.

Well, there are a lot o believers sitting on their bikes,so to speak, saying, God, where is my harvest? Come on

God, Im waiting for my abun-

dance. You said my barnswould be lled with plenty . Inresponse, God is saying, Ped-al. I need you to work with Me, My child. I need you to do your part. When you do your part, I

can do My part, and you can bemade rich. You can cause the gospel to be preached across thisworld . We have to learn howto cooperate with God.

When I took accounting in business school, one o thethings I learned in that class is that a corporation can benanced a number o ways. Tese ways include borrowingmoney rom creditors, the owners investing their moneyinto the corporation, the selling o stocks or taking prots

rom the previous quarter and reinvesting them into thecorporation. As Gods child, you are a branch o the Jeho- vah & Sons Corporation, and God has more than one wayo nancing you.

Believers must realizethat every blessing ofGod has a God-wardside and a man-wardside.

Unexpected Income

Luke 6:38

Give and it shall be given unto to you; good

measure, pressed down, and shaken to-

gether, and running over, shall men give into

your bosom. For with the same measure

that you mete withal it shall be measured to

you again.

Jesus said to give here; He didnt say to tithe. He alreadyexpects you to tithe. He is talking about giving above thetithe. Tat is what determines your harvest. He is sayingthat you will receive a ull harvest, a harvest that is so great

that you are going to have to press down a little bit to makesome room. And that wont be good enough, so youre go-ing to have to shake it together, and the end result is thatyour harvest will be running over. Notice how He says it isgoing to happen: shall men give into your bosom. He didntsay one man, but men; neither did He just say Christianmen. Te wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just (Proverbs13:22).

Gods rst method o nancing you is through unex-pected income. In charismatic circles, that is sometimescalled a holy handshake, where someone shakes yourhand and puts money in it. Tat is unexpected income. Or,you may go out to your mailbox one day and nd a checkthere that you didnt know was coming. Tat is unexpectedincome.

God deals with men, and He has those men give to you.He is giving men the assignment o nding your address,

nding out where you are, so that they can be a blessing to

you.I you ever played a game o tag as a child, you know

that the object o the game is that someone is declared asit and they have to close their eyes while everyone runsand hides, and they have to nd other people and tag themas it. Well, God is tagging people as it or you right now,

and they have been tagged with the assignment o ndingyou and tagging you with the harvest God has promisedyou! God will give His believers unexpected income as oneo the ways to get their harvest to them.

Most believers think that this is the only way thatGod will get their harvest to them. Te Bible tells us in 2

Corinthians 9:11 that God causes us to be made rich. Wethink that it is going to happen just by giving tithes andofferings, obeying God and giving when He says to give andthen just sitting and waiting or millions o dollars to dropin our laps. In reality, that very well may not be the way thatGod wants to do it with you. God needs you to pedal!

God IdeasMatthew 17:24-27

And when they were come to Capernaum,

they that received tribute money came

to Peter, and said, Doth not your master

pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he

was come into the house, Jesus prevented

him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon?

of whom do the kings of the earth take

custom or tribute? of their own children,

strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then arethe children free. Notwithstanding, lest we

Te tax collectors came or Jesus taxes. Jesus receivedrevelation rom the Father, and He then gave Peter specic,detailed instructions in verse 27. As a side note here, dontever let the enemy try to trick you into thinking that God

cant get your harvest to you, that God is not able. Godcalled a sh to go to the bottom o the sea and nd an ex-pensive piece o money, and then told the sh to gobble upthe money, nd his way to shore, and jump on a particularshhook.

I God can get a sh to get enough money to Jesus andPeter to pay taxes or both o them, God can surely get yourharvest to you! I you have been obeying God and sowingseed, your sh is on the way! He will get a dog to get yourharvest to you i He has to! He parted the Red Sea (Exodus14:21-22); He made a donkey talk ( Numbers 22:28-30); andHe made the sun stop ( Joshua 10:12-13). God can get yourharvest to you!

Well, Peter did not come up with this idea. He didnt goto Jesus and say, Jesus, they asked me for your taxes. I havean idea; I am going to go to the sea, throw a hook in the wa-ter, and take the rst sh and open his mouth and nd some

money in it . Tat would have been absurd! Tis idea did

not originate with Peter. Jesus says that everything He sayscomes rom the Father ( John 8:26,28). Tis wasnt a Peteridea; it was a God idea! Tis is the second way that God willget your harvest to you; He will speak a word to your spiritand when you obey Gods direction, you will see that harvest will come.

A God idea is an idea, concept or insight that origi-nated with God. In todays vernacular, we could say thatyou have received a Godidea when God sends you aninstructive e-mail rom His

computer in heaven romHis Spirit to your spirit. I youwatched cartoons as a child,you may recall scenes wherea character got a bright idea,and when they did, a lightbulb would appear over theirhead. Tat is, in essence, what happens when an individualgets a God idea, when God speaks to their spirit. God hasopened His mouth and He has given you His wisdom. Heis speaking directly to your spirit, and that wisdom has in itthe potency to cause money to come into your hands.

Luke 5:1-3

And it came to pass, that, as the people

pressed upon him to hear the word of God,

he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And

God deals with men, andHe has those men giveto you. He is giving menthe assignment of nding

your address, ndingout where youare, so that theycan be a blessingto you.

saw two ships standing by the lake: but the

shermen were gone out of them, and werewashing their nets. And he entered into one

of the ships, which was Simons, and prayed

him that he would thrust out a little from

the land. And he sat down, and taught the

people out of the ship.

Jesus is preaching, and the people are pressing onHim, so much so that He cant preach effectively becausethey are so close to Him. He notices a boat that has justcome in rom off the lake. He goes up to the owner, Simon,and asks to use his boat to preach. Simon doesnt say, All

right$15.00. No. Simon gives the boat to Him to use orree. He is sowing a seed so that the gospel can be preached.

Luke 5:45

Now when he had left speaking, he said

unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and

let down your nets for a draught. And Simon

answering said unto him, Master, we have

toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:

nevertheless at thy word I will let down the

net.

Once again, this idea did not originate with Simon. Hedidnt say, Hey, I just let Jesus use my boatlets go back out.His response to Jesus was, We just came back; we havealready been out there shing and it didnt work before. Hewas relying on his past experience instead o on the Word

o God. Your response to God instructing you to do some-

thing cannot be, Well Lord, the last time I did it, it didntwork. Or, I heard that someone else did it and it didnt work for them. It isnt about your experience; it is about theWord. I know someone else who gave their tithes and offer-ings and God didnt bless them. But you dont know any-thing else about them. Did they cooperate with God? How

come there are some that get massive harvests and otherswho do not? It is not God. Sometimes people are so quickto blame God, shaking their sts at God and saying its allHis ault. God does not change, and He does not mess up!I something is not working in your li e, it is not because oGod; it is because o you. You have an adjustment to make;

but the good news is i you just make the adjustment, youwill be okay.I remember hearing about a ootball game a while ago.

In this game, the quarterback lef the huddle. Te quar-terback was supposed to get under the center because thecenter had the ball. However, this quarterback was not pay-ing attention, and he walked up to the offensive line and gotup under the guard. He started to call out his signals andhe realized that he was in the wrong place. Instead o mak-ing a big to-do, he just stepped over, made an adjustment,hiked the ball and ran the play. So what i you are under theguard right now. So what i you messed up. You dont haveto all out, crying be ore God. I you missed it or made amistake, just step over; just make the adjustment. Find outwhere you should be, what you should be doing and receive

rom God.

Luke 5:6-7

And when they had this done, they en-closed a great multitude of shes: and their

net brake. And they beckoned unto their

partners, which were in the other ship, that

they should come and help them. And they

came, and lled both the ships, so that they

began to sink.

Simon did not make this idea up himsel . Te direc-tion came rom Jesusit was a God idea. Jesus spoke to hisspirit and when Simon obeyed, there was a harvest. Fishto a sherman equals money. Simon obeys God, he sows

seed and Jesus gives him direction. Instead o God havingsomeone show up with a bag ull o sh and say, Hey, heres your unexpected income, Jesus directs him: Go ahead andlaunch out into the deep and let your net down, and when you do you will get a harvest.

So he obeyed the wisdom that God gave him and indoing so, he received such a harvest that he had to get hispartners to bring the other ship, and both ships began tosink because o the harvest. Tis harvest came through aGod idea.

Money MiraclesAs I studied the Bible on the subject o money miracles,

I discovered that the most money miracles were per ormedby the prophet Elisha and Jesus. Perhaps the most notable oElishas money miracles was the widow woman with the poto oil (2 Kings 4:1-7 ). Elisha also turned poisoned ood into

edible ood (2 Kings 4:38-41). O course, we know that Jesus

per ormed many miracles. He turned water into wine ( John2:1-11), He ed 5,000 people supernaturally ( Mark 6:35-44, John 6:5-12), and weve already read about Jesus tellingSimon to let down his nets or a catch.

In studying Jesus ministry, I ound that not one moneymiracle was mani ested through unexpected income. Every

time a money miracle mani ested in His ministry, it wasthrough a God idea. Jesus either received direction romGod or gave direction to someone else, and when theyobeyed they received a harvest. In the story o the eedingo the 5,000 mentioned above, Jesus received direction romGod regarding the ve loaves and two shes. He told the

disciples to hand it out to the peoplesomething you dontdo unless you know something. In John 6:6 , the Bible saysthat Jesus already knew what He was going to do. God theFather had dropped something in His spirit, and He obeyed.Troughout His ministry, Jesus per ormed miracles usingGod ideas.

By way o example, there was one individual attendingour church in Smyrna, Georgia where I pastored. He wasa aith ul young man who shared a testimony with me. Hesaid that he was believing God to go to the annual conven-tion held at Word of Faith International Christian Center in Southeld, Michigan, but he did not have the money topurchase a plane ticket. He was standing in aith, believingGod, and it was getting down to the wire.

He was driving down the street one day, and He wasthinking about the situation; doubt was trying to get intohis heart, but he decided that he was going to praise God.

not like they were thirty years ago when there was very little

teaching on the subject.Now, you can go into a bookstore and get ten books on

the subject o how to hear rom God. You have to learn howto hear rom God, how to recognize His voice. Ten youhave to learn how to cooperate with Him so that He can do

or you what He wants to do or you.

Maybe you have had instances occur where the HolySpirit has instructed you to go to a particular place, whereyou were not planning on going, and minister salvation toan individual. It is the same principle. We have to learn howto hear rom God because it affects our harvest.

Te unexpected income way o receiving your harvest

is really the wel are way. Its not wel are, but it is the low-est level o receiving your harvest. Tere is a higher levelwhereby God can get you larger sums o money once Hetrusts you. I you are not tithing, He doesnt trust you yet.I you do not know how to give when He tells you to give,you are not ready yet. You may be receiving unexpectedincome, but you have to realize that it is rare or someone towalk up and drop $10,000 on you every week.

Now, it may happen. I know o a ministry that receivedtwo separate one million-dollar checks. It happens, dontget me wrong. I have ound that, over the past ew years,it is rare or a week to go by where I dont get unexpectedincome; my wi e and I are used to it. So I know it happens,and we give God all the praise or it. But, in essence, theyare miracles. When the Israelites came out o Egypt intothe wilderness, they were sustained by miracles manna

stolen with me. And Laban said, Behold,I would it might be according to thy word. And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of thehazel and chestnut tree; and peeled white streaks in them, andmade the white appear which was in the rods. And he set therods which he had peeled before the ocks in the gutters inthe watering troughs when the ocks came to drink, that theyshould conceive when they came to drink.

And the ocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. And Jacob

Chapter 2 - Jacobs God Idea; Your God Idea

did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the ocks toward

the ringstraked, and all the brown in the ock of Laban; andhe put his own ocks by themselves, and put them not untoLabans cattle.

And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle didconceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattlein the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. But

when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feeblerwere Labans, and the stronger Jacobs.

And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle,and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses(Genesis 30:25-43).

We see rom these passages that Laban stole Jacobs

wages rom him. I my boss took my paycheck afer Iworked or him or weeks, I would not be too happy. Wewill see later that Laban deceived Jacob and changed hiswages ten times, but we do not read about Jacob hiringsomeone to take Laban out, or waiting outside Labanshouse to beat him up when he gets home. No, Jacob contin-ues to go about his business; he has aith in God.

You may be in a situation where someone has cheatedyou or wronged you nancially. Whether it is on the job orsomeone to whom you loaned money, you have to recog-nize that no matter what they have done to you, it is neces-sary or you to stay in the circle o the love o God. You cannever step out o that circle.

You cannot allow yoursel to get away rom acting ac-cording to the Word o God, because the circle called thelove o God is also the place where the glory o God allsdown on your li e, causing the harvest to come. You cannot

allow yoursel to get caught up in stri e about money.

Te Bible tells the story o Abram and his nephew Lot,that God made them both so rich that although they werein a vast land, there was not enough grass or both o theirocks to eat. Stri e arose between their herdsman (Genesis13:1-12). Abram asked that there be no stri e between heand Lot, and he told Lot to choose what land he wanted.

Now, when God told Abram to leave in Genesis 12:1, Hetold him to leave his kindred and his athers house. Lot wasnot supposed to be there in the rst place, but Lot chosethe best land. I someone wrongs you nancially, you haveto make the decision that there will be no stri e. You haveto decide that you may have to make some concessions

and possibly lose something to remain in the love o God,knowing that God will restore you, protect you and prosperyou. God is your Source, not that person, and no one canstop God! His arm is not short and He is not going to holdback, because He is El Shaddai, not El Cheapo! So, you haveto put your trust in God knowing that He is the One thatwill provide or your needs. In doing so, you will get underthe spout where the glory comes out!

Lets get back to Jacob and Laban. Jacob has been serv-ing Laban or years, until nally one day he asks Labanto let him go, but Laban doesnt want him to leave. Labaneven tells him to state his salary. Jacob then states his sal-ary to Labanall o the speckled, spotted and brown cattleand all o the spotted and speckled goats. Laban agrees,but then takes all o the cattle that Jacob requested, steal-ing Jacobs wages (vv. 25-36). A wicked man has stolen romGods righteous man, and that is one o the reasons why the

wealth o the sinner is laid up or the just. Jacob took rods

and peeled them so that the white in the rods appeared.When the ocks came to the watering troughs to drink,they mated and conceived because o the rods. Tey thenbrought orth cattle that was ringstraked, speckled, spottedand brown.

We have never been able to control whether or not a

child will be born a boy or a girl; all we can do is pray. YetJacob was able to gain the knowledge to not only cause theocks to conceive when they came be ore the rods, butalso to cause them to bring orth spotted, speckled, ring-straked and brown cattle and sheep. God gave Jacob a wittyinventiona God idea that came rom God to Jacobs spirit.

When Jacob put the invention to work, it caused the cattleto produce, yielding a harvest.

Genesis 31:1-13

And he heard the words of Labans sons,

saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was

our fathers; and of that which was our

fathers hath he gotten all this glory. And Ja-

cob beheld the countenance of Laban, and,

behold, it was not toward him as before.

And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto

the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred;

and I will be with thee.

And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah

to the eld unto his ock, And said unto

them, I see your fathers countenance, that it

my father hath been with me. And ye knowthat with all my power I have served your

father. And your father hath deceived me,

Thus God hath taken away the cattle of

your father, and given them to me. And it

came to pass at the time that the cattleconceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and

saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which

leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked,

speckled, and grisled. And the angel of God

spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob:

And I said, Here am I.

And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see,

all the rams which leap upon the cattle are

ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have

seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. I am

the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst

the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow

unto me: now arise, get thee out from this

land, and return unto the land of thy kin-

dred.

Genesis 30:43 tells us that Jacob increased exceed-

ingly (the Amplied Bible says that he became exceedinglyrich). Te word increase means to break out . Tis passageo Scripture conrms how Jacob received the idea to causethe cattle to come orth as he desired. Te angel appearedto Jacob and told him that God saw what Laban did to him.In essence, he told him that the cattle was his payback, his

harvest. God took the wealth o the wicked and put it intohis hands. Jacob was working or Laban, but God gave himone witty invention that made him rich.

One God idea will get you out o debt. One God ideawill cause you to receive your desires. One God idea cancause your dreams to mani est in your li e. One God idea

can make you a millionaire with a mission.God will not only give you direction, but He may dropan invention into your heart rom time to time. I can saythis rom experience. One particular time while playing aboard game at a riends house, the Lord began to speak tome and to show me how I could create a board game thatwould help Christians in the nancial arena.

On the way home, I started thinking about it and work-ing on it. Well, to make a long story short, about a year later,Te Prosperous ouch board game was released. We all have the same Holy Spirit on the inside o us. Weare empire builders or the kingdom o God, and God hasplaced the seed o greatness inside all o His children. Youshould be a participator in what God is doing, not a specta-tor. God wants to speak things into your li e so that when

an even greater blessing to others.We have put God in a box, telling Him that He could

only bless us in certain ways. God is trying to get a massiveharvest to us and we are receiving about one- ourth o itbecause we are not responding to what He has placed in ourspirits. How many times has God given you an instruction

or an idea and you didnt even write it down? How manyideas are sitting on a pad in your house? How many ideasdid you throw away? You are getting these ideas becauseyou are a sower. One of the ways that God is going to getthe wealth out of the world and into the believers hands isthat we are going to in ltrate the world market with Gods

goods and cause the wealth of the sinner to come into ourhands. We have to go get the wealth, however. We have tooccupy the inheritance.

What has God been saying to you? What has Hedropped into your spirit? Tere is your harvest. Te keyis that you have to be sure that you are hearing rom God,because i you are out there with just a good idea, you willlose your shirt. You are going to run into a wall. Tere area lot o people in the world right now who are strugglingbecause o their good ideas. We are talking about somethingthat God has placed in your spirit, and i you are not sure its

rom God, then you should seek godly counsel.Again, the harvest is not going to all into your lap,

but it will all into your spirit. Afer that, you have to pedal(going back to our bicycle riding analogy). You have to obeyGod and do what He says. Tat is how your harvest is goingto come to you. We have to learn how to be sensitive to the

constantly be running to God saying, God, give me an idea!Give me an idea! No. Your part is to obey Godby tithingand giving. He will choose the method or the idea.

In sharing this in ormation, I am trying to get you toopen your eyes and realize that when God blessed peoplewith money in the Bible, at least hal o the time it was not

through unexpected income. Tat is even true o receivinghealing, as with the story o Naaman (2 Kings 5:1-14).Hewent to Elisha to get healed o leprosy, but Elisha did notcome out and lay hands on him or cast the sickness out ohim. Instead, he sent his servant, who told Naaman to goand wash in the Jordan seven times. It wasnt until afer he

dipped the seventh time that he was cleansed o the leprosy.Te statement, all you need is one Word rom God, is true.As believers, we should become so developed spirituallythat we can hear and know when God is giving us instruc-tions, directions and wisdom. Te word blessing in verse 10 is not referring to a car,

a house or money. He is saying that if you do not obey,you will be cursed with a curse, and the curse affects everyarea of life. If you do obey, you receive the opposite of thecursethe blessing, which is not just money.

Te blessing is an anointing that brings wisdom; it is ananointing that brings the money . So, if you want to be in a

position to receive God ideas and get to the next level ofhigher nance, then you have to be a tither and a giver. Letstake a look at the book of Acts.

Acts 10:1-5

There was a certain man in Caesarea called

Cornelius, a centurion of the band calledthe Italian band, A devout man, and one

that feared God with all his house, which

gave much alms to the people, and prayed

to God alway. He saw in a vision evidently

about the ninth hour of the day an angel of

God coming in to him, and saying unto him,

Cornelius.

And when he looked on him, he was afraid,

and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto

him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come

up for a memorial before God. And now

send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon,

whose surname is Peter. . .

Cornelius received wisdom and direction from God.

Chapter 3 - Three Ways to Position Yourselfto Receive God Ideas

Notice how it started: Cornelius was a man of prayer, and

he was a giver. By giver I do not mean that you give yourtithe and a one-dollar offering. Te Bible teaches us that hewho sows bountifully will reapbountifully ( 2 Corinthians 9:6 ).If you are sowing one-dollarseed, God does not need to

give you an idea to give you ave-dollar harvest. When youhave sowed a lot of seed, Godmay give you an idea in orderto get a massive harvest toyou. For example, if you have a

television, there are two thingsthat you have to do in order toget the cable channel that youwant. First , you have to pay the cable bill; second you haveto nd the channel. Te same is true with God; you have tosow seed, and then once you have been sowing seed, youhave to get before God to nd the channelthe directionfrom God.

PrayerAs I stated earlier, not only was Cornelius a giver, he

was also a man of prayer. If you do not have a prayer life,you are not going to hear from God. You need to be an in-dividual that prays consistently and that prays always. TeBible teaches us to pray without ceasing (1Tessalonians5:17 ).

We see in Acts chapter 10 that Cornelius received wis-

prayer life so that you are in position to hear from God.

Sow Sacricial SeedsExodus 12:3-6

for an house: And if the household be too

little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour

When I mention sacricial seeds, I am referring tothose times when the Holy Spirit will speak to your spiritand tell you to give a certain amount. Sometimes He will tellyou to give something that will make you choke a little bit.It has happened to me a number of times!

Understand this: if what you sow hurts a little, it is go-ing to help a lot. Psalm 126:6 says, He that goeth forth and

position or God to bless her. She just wanted to know whatto do.You may be reading this book thinking that you are in a

lot o debt. Maybe you have school loan payments or otherdebts that you incurred be ore you became born-again.Maybe you have incurred debt afer you became born-again. You are like this widowyou are right with God now,you are a tither and a giver, you have cleaned up your li eand you are now living holy be ore God, but you still havethe debt, and you are wondering, What do I do?

In verse 2, Elisha asks her, What shall I do for you?What do you have in your house? So many times we getinto nancial trouble and we look to someone else, whenin most cases the best help can be ound right at the end oyour own arm.

Chapter 4 - Whatever He Says to You, Do It

and riends. I say stop looking at what your neighbors and

riends have and keep your house happy! A primary reasonwhy marriages and homes break up is nancial pressure.Tat is one reason why I believe God is elevating this nan-cial message. It is not just about houses and cars. People arehurting because they are being destroyed in the fnancialarena.

When people come to me at church and ask or benev-olence, the rst question I ask them is, What do you have in your house? Be ore the church uses money that is supposed

to be used or preaching thegospel to help you pay yourbills, lets see what you have in

your house. I will tease themsometimes and tell them thatI do not want to go to theirhouse or a home visit and sitdown on their couch and lookat their 60-inch television! Iwill take that television andput it on the curb mysel !

In all seriousness, wehave to understand that God has a word or the Body oChrist downsize! Some people think that is a curse word.I you are in nancial trouble because o all the purchasesyou have made, then you need to start selling some o thosethings.

Some people are living in homes that they nevershould have purchased; they should sell those homes andbuy smaller ones. When they do, they will see that the

it. What you are doing is living in the wilderness, going in

Te Bible talks about how Jesus called Peter and oth-ers to be His disciples and how they were washing theirnets and Jesus said, Follow Me and I will make you shersof men.Te Bible says that they dropped their nets and

immediately ollowed Jesus. IHe speaks to you, do it imme-diately. Te longer you wait, themore blessings you allow to slipthrough your ngers, and morepeople you dont touch that you

should have touched.So, turning our attentionback to 2 Kings, chapter our,what does the widow womanhave in her house? A pot o oil.What do you have in your spirit?A God idea, a specic direction.

I took a screen writing class, and my teacher was anindividual who was in Hollywood or 14 years or so andwho had written several screenplays. He taught us how topitch an idea or a screenplay. He also told us that there aresome individuals who can go right up to the people thatcount and pitch an idea or a movie, not having written ordeveloped it at all, and the people will pay them a couplehundred thousand dollars almost on the spot to develop theidea. Tey will give them as much as $300,000 on the spot,and another $800,000 when the project is completed. Now,

done the job, however. She not only has debt, but also she

has no way o supporting hersel and her children or therest o their lives. When people come to you with moneyproblems and you simply throw money at them, you havemade things worse for them, because they are in the situ-ation they are in because of certain lessons that they did

not learn about money. They

will only go back out and dothe same thing all over againand maybe something worsebecause they now think theyhave a source of help. Youmay have to learn to say no,

particularly when it comes tofamily members who ask youfor money . The best thingthat you can do for them isget them to a good Word

church where they can be taught the Word of God and learnwhat they are supposed to do.

Well, instead o just giving her money or taking an o -ering, Elisha tells the woman to go. In other words, there

is some work or you to do. Ten he tells her what to dogoout and beat the path, so to speak. You have to work withGod to get what you need. He tells her to go to all o herneighbors houses and ask them or empty vessels, which isquite a responsibility. She needed help, but she was asked togo out and work, and to do something that probably madeher eel uncom ortable.

I can just picture her knocking on her neighbors doors

Chapter 5 - What To Do With A God Idea

saying, Hey, how are you doing? Can you give me some of

your bowls? Tey probably looked at her unny. In this dayand age, they would have probably picked up the phone andcalled their riends: Girl, Susie has lost her mind since herhusband died .

In other words, she very well may not have been themost popular person in the world. Yet the word rom the

Lord is to get vessels, to go out and work. You may be read-ing this and wondering, How does that apply to me?Youneed to do your diligence. Understand that when the Lordhas spoken to you about doing something, He will lead youthrough the process one step at a time. God usually workswith us in such a way that He gives us just enough light

for the step He has told us to take. When God gives you anidea, that means that you have work to do, and the rst stepis to write it down; write the vision and make it plain(Habakkuk 2:2).

I may be working on one thing, and then I will get anidea and I will write it on the lef corner o the paper I amworking on. I I sit there long enough, I may get somethingelse and write that on the right corner o the paper. When itis all said and done, I have a paper with all kinds o stuff allover it, and I am the only person that can decipher any o it.I then have to take what the Lord has told mebe it aboutmy church, sermons I am to preach, or different ideasandI have to write the vision clearly and think the plan through

or how it is to be done. I may not understand everything,but I can at least write down everything that I can do.

I the Lord were to tell someone to start a movie com-pany, or instance, they may respond, Now how am I sup-

posed to do that? He didnt say make one; He just said start

one. Te next question should be, Lord, how do I start? Hemay tell them to go buy a book; or He may tell them to takea class.

No matter what area o your li e the Lord is dealingwith you about, you need to get be ore Him and nd outwhat your rst step is, write it down and be diligent. Te

Bible says that the hand of the diligent maketh rich (Prov-erbs 10:4).Stay on it until you get to the point that you dontknow what else to do and then go back to God for furtherdirections. That is the process of gathering vessels.

Pour Out the Oil

2 Kings 4:4And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut

the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and

shalt pour out into all those vessels, and

thou shalt set aside that which is full.

He told her to collect all o the vessels and to shut thedoor when she came into the house. Why? Because it is noone elses business what God is doing with you. Te onlypeople that need to know are those that are called to assistyou, such as your church. You should talk to your pastorabout what God is dealing with you about. Many timespeople run to other people and tell them their dreams, andthey end up getting stuck like Joseph did. Joseph told his

amily his dreams and they immediately persecuted him (Genesis 37, 39-45).

with your amily; or most o us, i you tell your amily

something that God has told you and they come against it,it will affect your aith. You will take it to heart, and end upwith a struggle in your thoughts, when what you shouldhave done was just shut the door. You cannot tell everyoneyour dreams. People do not see you like God sees you, andpeople may not see you like you see yoursel . People may

see little Johnny that they grew up with, but God sees aworld changer, an empire builder. God sees someone withthe anointing o God, the Word o God and the wisdom oGod to move in a particulararea. You have to protect your

aith.

So the second thing youneed to do with a God idea isto pour out the oil. Pour outthe oil, and pour it out untilit is ull. When God has putsomething in your heart, youhave to nd a way to get it outo the realm o your heart andinto the natural realm. Part othat is accomplished by writing it down, as I stated earlier.However, depending on what the Lord is dealing with youabout, you may even need to make a prototype.

I received an idea rom the Lord one day when I waspreparing to preach. It was something that was in me that Ihad not told anyone else, except or my wi e and the personthat God told me to work with on it. A couple o monthslater, they sent me phase one and I was blown away. Sitting

on my desk was something that I only knew about, some-

thing that started as a seed on the inside o me. We were notdone with it, but it was something that God had spoken tomy spirit, something that was in the spirit realm that wasnow sitting be ore me in the natural realm. So, you have tond out what God has told you to do, get be ore Him andthen make sure you pour out the oil. Te key is to pour out

until it is full .

Mark 4:28-29

For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself;

rst the blade, then the ear, after that the

full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is

brought forth, immediately he putteth in thesickle, because the harvest is come.

Tere are three stages mentioned in this Scripture: theblade comes up, then the ear comes up and then the ullcorn in the ear comes up. Te sickle is put in when the ruitis brought orth. Many people get an idea or direction romGod and put the sickle in when the blade or the ear showsup, instead o waiting until it is done.

For example, God may give a Christian an idea or aChristian Club and they write it down. Tey gather somein ormation on it, but instead o doing some research on themarket, nding out the best location, doing some market-ing, and deciding who to work with (business basics), theygo home and create a one-dollar yer on their computerthat says Christian Club opening next week. Ten theyrun to the local print shop and make 1,000 copies and post

them at their church and all over the city. Tey have their

opening and 50 people show up, mostly their amily andriends rom church. wo weeks later they are closed.

Was it an idea rom God? Yes. Well, what happened?Tey rushed; they did not pour out the oil until it was ull.It is sad, but true that most Christians do not support otherChristian businesses because they are run shabbily. Equally

sad is that many churches are also run the same way; thereis a lack o excellence. It is better to wait until you are trulyready to produce your product or start your business ordo whatever the Lord has told you to do. You want to putsomething out there that is that is representative o yourLord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is good to be patient; in

fact, you have to be patient. When I rst received the ideafor the board game, I wanted to rush to get it done, but theLord started showing me that I needed to slow down. I real-ized that if I had put the game out earlier that there wouldlikely have been many errors. We should do all things withexcellence, not just in our churches, but in our lives as well.

Sell the Oil2 Kings 4:5-6

So she went from him, and shut the door

upon her and upon her sons, who brought

the vessels to her; and she poured out. And

it came to pass, when the vessels were full,

that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a

vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a

vessel more. And the oil stayed.

Tis widow woman has just witnessed a miracle o

God; as she poured the oil, the oil reproduced itsel . No onelaid hands on it, no one prayed in other tongues over it. It just reproduced. Oil is money; we have to understand thatin our thinking as well. Sometimes we only think o moneyin terms o cash, but the pen that I write with is money tosomeone; the paper that this book is printed on is money

to someone; the penny in my pocket is money to someone.All o it is wealth. She has a house ull o it. Common sense

says, Ive done well; I am go-ing to run off and sell it. Butshe understands something.2 Kings 4:7 begins, Ten

she came and told the manof God. Instead o runningoff and acting on what shethought she should do, sherealized that she had got-ten that far by seeking andobeying God. The Bible saysto acknowledge Him in all

your ways and that you should go to Him rst when mak -ing decisions (Proverbs 3:5,6). Jeremiah 10:23 says, It isnot in man that walketh to direct his steps.

In other words, you really do not even have the abil-ity to walk into the place called prosperity by yoursel . So,every time you are about to make a decision, whether it isabout a God idea, or you are about to buy a house or a car,whatever it is, you have to pick up that Holy Ghost cellphone and dial Jehovah and hear rom Him.

2 Kings 4:7 continues, And he said, Go, sell the oil

Tis is the third thing that you have to do with a God idea.Tis woman has a house ull o oil, but she cannot sell itlike that. She is going to have to package it. She will have tomarket it.

You may recall watching clips rom the early 20th cen-tury o boys with newspapers on the corners. Tey would

yell what was happening in the news. What were they do-ing? Tey were marketing the paper.

oday, she would probably set up a website: HeavenlyOil, 39 cents. She has to operate some basic business prin-ciples, and the same thing is true or you. Even once youhave produced an idea that you received rom God, it is still

sitting in your lap; you still need doors to open.And once doors begin to open (opportunities presentthemselves); you need to nd out rom God which door togo through.

Pay Your Debt2 Kings 4:7

Then she came and told the man of God.

And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy

debt, and live thou and thy children of the

rest.

Te ourth thing to do with a God idea is pay yourdebt. Do not take that increase and go and buy a bigger car,or a bigger house, or the dress you wanted, or whatever elseit is you like. Tere is someone in my church who is a realestate agent. Her husband told me about a client o hers that

received a settlement or about $150,000. Tis client had a

mortgage and other debts, but she decided that she was notgoing to use the money to pay off any o her debts. Instead,she purchased another car and went shopping or a newhouse.

A lot o people are asking God or more money, whenthat is not the issue. Te issue is what are you doing with the

money that you have? When God puts something in yourhand, that does not mean that you should immediately runout and get something you desire. You have to get deliveredbe ore you can consider getting your desires. You shouldtake that money and start unneling it toward the debt. Payoff the smallest debt rst, and keep going until you have

paid off all o your debts. We all should be good stewardso the money that God gives to us. Get out o debt, get yourneeds met, and then you will have plenty more to put to-ward the spreading o the Word.

Live Off of the RestIn conclusion, I want you to see the potency o what

this book is all about. Te widow woman started out with adebt that was going to cause her sons to be taken rom her.She receives wisdom and direction rom God in the ormo one idea. She obeys that one idea and that idea producesso much that it not only pays her enormous debt, but theman o God tells her to live off o the rest! In other words,he didnt say pay your debt and enjoy a our-week vacationand then get a job. A debt is just a debt; you still have to live,you still have to eat. Tis idea produced so much that thiswoman did not have to work another day in her li e. She

and her boys could live off o the rest o it orever(2 Kings

4:7).When God speaks to you, you must listen. When God

speaks and gives you direction, you must do what He says.One o those words or directions could be the one to getyou out o debt; the one that causes you to have so muchthat you do not have enough room to receive it; or the one

that causes you to be a millionaire with a mission.God has put His anointing on you. God has avored

you. So when God tells you what He wants you to do andgives you insider tips about this world, you need to take thattip and run with it to the bank because God will cause youto prosper. One drop o the wisdom o God is all you need.

One thing is need ul: a Word rom God; and when actedupon in the manner that we have discussed in this book,God will cause us to become individuals who have morethan enough to do more than we have ever done be ore!
