As most Modern Studies departments have access to a whiteboard, the MSA has produced an interactive teaching resource (Boardworks:The Scottish Parliament).
We hope pupils and teachers find the format engaging and the content useful.
This resource is not designed to be a series of lessons, but aims to help members deliver a key study area of any Modern Studies course .
Also, it is to be hoped that Modern Studies teachers will find these materials useful not just for S1 and S2 classes, but also for more senior pupils.
If there are any issues that you wish to raise, then please contact Jim Cook at: [email protected]

Representation in School
Representation means speaking or acting on behalf of someone.
One way students can have a say about issues that affect them is through pupil councils.
Is there a pupil council inyour school? If so, how does it represent pupils? Has your school made any changes that have been asked for by pupils?
Are there any examples of pupil representation in your school? For example, have you had your sayabout issues?
