and appreciation

Novel hooks how do writers make us want toread.

Consider key characters, the setting. Make

predictions about what might happen, create a

question bank to see if we can answer thesequestions at the end etc.

- Different reading strategies listening, popcorn reading etc.

- Create a character profiles ordrawings for Sephy and Callum. First

impressions work. Hot seat them,

their parents, other characters.

- Close read first few chapters and
