WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY?
Magazine Institutions• IPC Media Entertainment Network• Bauer Media Group• Wenner Media • Harris Publications H360• Spin Media • Development Hell Ltd.
Harrison Publications H360
• Harris Publications, publishers of XXL, RIDES, ANTENNA, and SLAM magazines, has created H360 to address our client’s needs when a marketing challenge needs to directly reach and impact our audience beyond traditional print media.
• H360 is Harris Publication’s solutions factory that directly reaches our targeted, influential, cross-cultural young adult audience. H360 offers a full array of marketing and creative services that will activate your brand’s message.
• Harris publications already publishes XXL which is a hip-hop/rap magazine, so this wouldn't be my choice as The magazine would be too similar and I wouldn't want to compete for the same target audience.
• Publishing with H360 would mean that my magazine may not actually sell, because although its an established magazine institution, people are more likely t buy a hip-hop/rap magazine that is already well established.

IPC Media Entertainment Network
• With more than 60 iconic media brands, IPC creates content for multiple platforms, across print, online, mobile, tablets and events. IPC Media engage with 26 million UK adults - almost two thirds of UK women and over 40% of UK men.
• There award winning portfolio of websites reaches over 25 million global users every month.
• IPC Media Entertainment Network is a well know institution with a good reputation which means that my magazine would be recognised by many different types of people but may also have a well established name as it is being distributed by this institution.
• If I was to choose an institution to distribute my magazine it would be the IPC Media Entertainment Network because the only music magazine they distribute is NME, so they have a gap for a hip-hop magazine.
• NME wouldn't lose sales because it is aimed at a different target audience. • IPC Media Entertainment Network would also gain a new target audience which would
then make them a more diverse institution that appeals to a variety of different people.
Why I would choose IPC Media Entertainment Network
These three magazines are all different, there isn't one similar to my magazine.
