What it Takes
In this Section you will hear from eight music industry professionals offering you some general thoughts on what it takes to succeed in the music business. They all feel the same way about one thing: you have to want it more than anything else. You have to be passionate, driven and convinced. You may know this already but hearing it from these gentlemen is enlightening.
One of the underlying themes in these video clips is the need for versatility, for a good education, and for having various skill sets that can help you in your creative life. You have to be versatile to produce and distribute your music, its packaging, your promotional videos, your website, your YouTube channel, and related photographs, merchandise, and marketing tools.
The beauty of the message of conviction is: if you really want it, you can have it. But if you have any other choice of things to do with your life, you should probably choose one of those. Passion, conviction, self-honesty and determination are essential. Its also essential that your music is good!
