It is all about being

enthusiastic.

Inspiration and passion

as to everything you do in

class will bring more joy

to your students. This will

definitely let them love

and understand your

subject just the way you

do.

Another important thing when talking about teaching is, of course, patience.

What seems to be an easy task for us, teachers, can be quite a challenge for

students, so let them take their time to understand some things.

What I find particularly

important in teaching

today is flexibility.

Modern teachers should

be ready to perform

various roles depending

on their students'

personalities. In other

words, we must develop

different teacher

management styles.

Best, Bester, Bestest!

Continuous development is

another thing one cannot imagine

a teaching job without.

The latest trends in methodology,

some recent changes in the field

of a subject you teach (it is

especially relevant to teaching

ESL), digital literacies are some

of the things which make you an

up-to-date teacher.

Engagement, which is a

mutually beneficial

interaction that results

in participants feeling

valued for their unique

contribution, is

something that really

matters as well.

Spelling bee

It’s the first time this

year we have organised

Spelling Bee in our

school, which is, as you

might remember, a well-

known spelling contest.

Something specialLast year our final year

students started a virtual

project. The task was to write

about their own achievements –

be they academic, educational

or sports ones. This research

ended in a website which

contains the information about

almost every student among

those who finished our school

last year.
