Consider These Tips:
• Work with student leaders to hang posters and encourage their peers to participate. They may even create a Reflections commercial announcing a call for entries.
• Connect with all parents, school teachers and leaders in support of classroom lessons and after school activities based on the theme.
• Customize key messages provided in your Local Leader’s Guide and at the state website.
• Share your ideas with over 8,000 program leaders on social media using #PTAReflections.
Step 4.
Organizing Artwork
for Judging
Familiarize Yourself with Program Rules
Students must be affiliated with a PTA/PTSA in good standing, as determined by State PTA.
Only new and original pieces of artwork inspired by the theme may be submitted.
Artwork must be the work of one student only and follow all rules and submission requirements.
Submission must contain a completed student entry form with artwork title and artist statement.
Collect submissions and organize by Arts Category and Grade Division.
Qualify submissions and address student ineligibility, as needed.

Opportunity for Additional Recognition
In Florida, we have three levels:1. First, the local unit submits entries to a county council. Local units may determine the number of awards given at their level, but must submit only 3 entries for each arts category in each grade division no later than December 6, 2016.
2. Next, Orange County Council submits three entries for each arts category in each grade division no later than January 13, 2017.
3. Finally, Florida PTA advances 1 entry for each arts category in each grade division no later than March 3, 2017. Florida PTA awards 1 Excellence and up to 6 Merits for each arts category in each grade division. Awardee are announced no later than March 31, 2017, via website, emails, Facebook, and Twitter.
