ARIZONA CHILD LABOR LAWS
“In Arizona, no minor, under the age of 14 can be employed in any occupation at any time during school hours, nor shall any child under 16 be employed in underground mines, or in any occupation injurious to health or morals or hazardous to life or limb, nor for more than 8 hours in one day.”

1) Think about each photograph by Lewis W. Hine of a child (or children) laboring at different types of work.
2) Write your observations on the chart provided.
3) Once you have examined all six photos, write a one sentence thesis that answers the question “Should children have been allowed to work at the turn of the century?”.
4) Following the thesis write a complete paragraph with three General Supports (or reason your thesis is right) and three pieces of evidence from the photos. Do not for get the concluding sentences.
