that offers eco conscious, healthy eaters like you* BIG

The ‘GFG’ is open to anyone and everyone in the community.

Think organic dried fruits, nuts, nut butters, whole grains, flours, coconut products,

chocolate making supplies, crackers, muesli, tomato paste, oils, pasta, skin care products,

and even natural cleaning supplies.

Our primary supplier is a long established organic dry goods

company called ‘Honest to Goodness’ (https://

The aims for this group are really simple…

The Good Food Group Sunshine Coast aims to: Make organic food more affordable for people who want it!

Doing the right thing for our personal & global health is often a pretty expensive endeavour. The GFG’s primary intention is to make eating top quality organic more economically viable for more people. Just by being a member, you instantly get access to wholesale prices.And, the more the group grows, the bigger the savings we’ll be able to access as a collective. Through bulk ‘splits’, you can save around 30% on regular retail prices, often more. For those of us invested in buying the best quality food we can find, that amounts to BIG savings!

Support the planet and the wider community by regularly buying

from organic suppliers, and reducing our food packaging waste.

We’ve got some major health and environmental issues going on at the moment. You know it, I know it, we know it. While the ‘certified organic’ growing and labelling process isn’t perfect, it’s a really, really good start in our current system. And, the more we support those growers and creators who are investing in organic practices, the more innovation there can be in that sector. (I’m excited for when there are a big range of items available that are ‘Certified Regenerative’!) As for the packaging - bulk buy goods have fewer small plastic packets, and the intention is to up the eco as much as possible in this area! We’ll be using calico boomerang bags as well!

Health is a many faceted state of being. Physical health, mental health, emotional health, social health, and global health are all interdependent and mutually supportive. The GFG was borne out of an individual desire for access to more affordable organics, but it can only be realised through communal commitment and literal buy-in. People who value organic food tend to also share many common values in a lot of other areas that make life a healthier, more enjoyable, more sustainable and regenerative adventure. Who knows what else will come out of this adventure, what connections and collaborations will emerge, but we know they’ll be good ones!

The Practicalities (A Summary):

• Trial membership is free. Get your account set-up by messaging The GFG with your email address and a short message saying you’d like to join. Browse the product list, order up big, pay up on time, pick up on split day, then decide if you’d like to stay a member. Membership is a once-off $20 fee.

• There is no minimum order per member. ‘Splits’ within the group have a 500gm minimum, 1kg+ is encouraged.

• Prices are wholesale prices, plus 17% management fee, and freight costs which are calculated by weight.

• Dependent on member interest and group member payments being on time, a new order will be opened and distributed every 4-6 weeks. The intention is monthly.

• Sorting and pick-up will be on a Saturday morning. Volunteer help requested between 6am - 12noon. Order pick-ups available between 9am and 11:30am.

• Pick-up location is Unit 7/25 Quanda Road, Coolum Industrial Estate. (The Good Harvest Organic Farm Warehouse.) Deliveries available in exceptional circumstances. Widespread deliveries potential available from mid 2020.
