Mutation of property is the recording in the revenue records thetransfer of title of a property from one person to another. The mutationin the municipal records is for the purpose of payment of propertytaxes and it does not mean a legal title to the person to whom theproperty has been mutated.

The procedure, documentation required and the fees payable variesfrom State to State. However, generally, the procedure includes anapplication on a plain paper, along with non-judicial stamp of relevantvalue, containing some information. It is to be submitted to thetahsildar of the area.

mohit mangal answered 5 years agoyou are from jharkhand so can understood in hindi easily.ok...mutation:- iska matlab hai apni jameen ko girvi rakhna. jab hamkahin se bhi loan lete hai to hamari jameen or plot kuchh bhi girvi rakhajata hai .agar hum kisi bank mein jate hain to wahaan se hameadvocate se report karwane ke baad mutation karwane ke liye kahajata hai agar to jo bank gurantee hum de rahe hain wo koi urban plothai to uski mutation municipal commiti or municipal corporation meinhogi or agar ye agriculture land ya municipal limit se bahar hai to iskimutation registrar office mein hogi .iske liye aapko kuchh registrationcharges dene hoge jo 1% se 3% ho sakta hain .mutation ke baad landrecord mein apki land girvi show ho jayegi taaki aap na to ise bhechsakein na hi kisi or ko mutation kar sakein.
