What is it? Pyrography is the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point.

Different workshop projects are available to suit your needs, budget and time. Small Birch tree ornaments, jewelry, decorated wooden utensils, cutting boards, or small boxes…there are many possibilities!

We'll show you how to prep the wood, stencil designs, use the wood burning pens, paint, clear coat or resinate… and more! The focus is on what your group needs and wants Each participant gets to take their project home with them at the end of the session(s).

What do we need? ALL workshop materials are included. We provide the instructor and supplies. You supply the space, participants and electricity.

Recommended for ages 12 and up.

How much will the pyrography workshop cost? Each workshop is unique. Because of that, when negotiating fees, we need to take into consideration issues such as project materials, transportation costs, travel time, participant insurance, instruction time, instructor fee, accommodations, meals, (as applicable) and additional preparation time. A workshop in Aruba has a much different budget than a workshop in the next town over from the one where I live. Call us to discuss what you need and we can negotiate details. We love new art-ventures and can invent one to suit your needs more often than not!

I estimate $79 for a 2.5 hour pyrography workshop for beginners.

Maximum 10 participants per workshop. Additional participants permitted at an additional cost per person.
