Greetings Madison Families!
It is hard to believe that we are already
half-way through the school year! As we
walk the halls and get into classrooms, it is
clear to us how hard our students and
teachers are working each and every day.
We are so grateful to have such a dedicated
staff here at Madison that cares about kids!
Last week the weather teased us into
thinking it was spring…Please remember
that it is still winter and the colder
temperatures have returned. Students
should still be wearing coats, hats, and
mittens outside for recess.
*** Many students are being dropped
off 15 minutes or more early for
breakfast. We DO NOT have supervision
available before 8 am. Any student who
arrives before that time will have to
wait outside. Beginning on Wednesday,
February 21st, if your student arrives
early, they will be making a phone call
home. Please do not drop your student
off for breakfast until 8 am. All other
students should arrive no earlier than
8:15, when we have supervision on the
blacktop. ***
The district has released new guidelines on
the transfer of items from parents to the
office for students during the school day.
The procedure at Madison will be that if a
parents comes in with an item for their
student, the student will be called out of
class so that the parent can hand the item
directly to the student. These new
guidelines are in place to ensure student
and staff safety and to make sure that
items get to the student.
Our Community Café reading event is
coming up soon. Be on the lookout for a
flyer with more information in the coming
week! We are looking forward to welcoming
families on campus for a breakfast snack
and lots of reading!
In Partnership,
