What is a Learning Disability?A learning disability is a problem that
effects the “brain’s ability to receive, process, analyze , or store information”
A leaning disability makes it difficult for a student to learn as effectively as other students.
Learning disabilities are considered a “hidden handicap”

Verbal vs. Non- verbalA verbal disability means that you have
trouble with spoken and/or written words. A non-verbal learning disability is when you
have a hard time processing what you see.
Can it be Cured?Learning disabilities can’t be cured or fixed
it, but it becomes a life long struggle.
Diagnosing Young Helps Since a learning disability is considered a
hidden handicap, children learn to build up strategies to compensate the disability.
Strategies Parents must first understand their child’s
learning disability, and know how it effects their child
