In thrillers this allows the viewer to make sense of the actors emotion/expression whilst examining the background. A certain feature or part of the subject takes up the whole of the frame. In thrillers this allows the audience to concentrate only on either a face or specific detail of mise en scene. This shot magnifies objects and therefore allows the audience to enter the mind of a character. Looking from behind a person at the subject. In thrillers, this usually used when a figure is stood behind a victim or behind someone that is not aware of the actors present. The extreme close up gets right in and shows extreme detail. A very good start now push it a bit more with more analysis of the thriller genre itself. Stu
