I have gained a various range of skills from using the technologies constructing my media product. One of the main technologies has been Adobe Photoshop, which consists of a whole selection of tools in order to manipulate the photos or fonts I had inserted and used. Without Photoshop, I would not have had the luxury to create the house style of magazine I wanted. Lighting effects would not have been used without Photoshop, or even the fancy fonts that were there to be chosen from.

This is my own digital camera from home. It is a good quality camera with a variety of settings to suit the environment. As it is my own personal camera, I am aware of the settings but I rarely get to change them but as my magazine needed specific lighting such as flash or no flash, or daylight setting, I was able to navigate my way around better whilst constructing the magazine.

It is a digital camera, which enables the modern technology to view my images and upload them straight to my laptop or computer, which gives a larger image for me to see if I want to keep it or delete it.

I have used Microsoft Powerpoint to create the majority of my work on, it is useful because it breaks down the information easily.

For some of my powerpoints, I was able to add a coloured background. I could change the text layout, which could show bullet points.

Slideshare has been an extremely useful website that I have used throughout constructing my media product. It has enabled me to become familiar with the program. This was the first time I had used this website.

This is the main part which I gained skills from. Uploading my power point from my files was relatively easy, however in order for my power points to appear on my blog in a convenient way, I had to embed the short code which I would then copy and paste to a new post on my blog.

Internet ExplorerBing

Internet Explorer has been a huge help to me because it allowed me to research areas of media such as conventions of a magazine, annotations from other Slideshare users and target audience – language research.

Another useful search engine is Bing. It has allowed me to get research images and allowed me to upload images onto power points or even a blog post itself.

An extremely important aspect is my blog on WordPress. It has allowed me to show my work in an organised and reliable way. It has shown my progress whilst constructing my magazine.
