John 6:38

John 6:38For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

A follower of Christ has a faith that doesn’t expect an easy life. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.1 Peter 4:12-13

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.2 Timothy 3:12
